Guest guest
According to scully, prilocaine with felypressin is contraindicated in cardiac patient.Though this is given to ischemic heart disease patients.(according to masters) but its written no evidence weather it is safer or nt.so i guess plain prilocaine should be given or mepivacaine without adrenaline. Guest guest
HI . BUT LIDOCAIN IS ANTIARRITHMIC DRUG. Lidocaine is also the most important class 1B antiarrhythmic drug: it is used intravenously for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias (for acute myocardial infarction, digitalis poisoning, cardioversion or cardiac catheterization).WIKI From: ebtessam elhamalawy <ebtessamhamalawy@...> " " < > Sent: Wednesday, 7 March 2012, 17:29 Subject: Re: LA in cardiac arrhythmia patient ???Lignocaine v/s prilocaine HIAccording to the BNF THE FIRST LA OF CHOICE IS:1.
