Guest guest
So you want to say we should not consider value with vasoconstrictor which is 7mg/kg with maximum of 500 mg.I havent read odell ever but this is what we study at our undergraduate level but may be what you are saying is correct as you read it and even pink book has not described about 7 mg/kg.so i think we should follow 4.4mg/kg.What do you think guys?Sent from Samsung Mobile --- Re: LA equation From: ghazala farid CC: Odell states - - fixed dose recommendations are based on safety limit for the elusive fit 70 kg man, which is 4.4/kg (300 mg) (70 x 4.4 = 308 mg )- maximum recommended dose is irrespective of presence of vasoconstrictor . it is 4.4mg/kg (300mg) in all cases with with or with out epinephrine. - It is no longer considered that larger doses be given in one treatment session if preparation contains vasoconstrictor ques #2 :-20 mg of the drug is present in 1 ml of la ( max mg that can be given is 300mg .it does not matter how obese 300 mg of the drug is present in ?ml of la the person is or whether the la is with or without vasoconstrictor) ?ml=300/20 =15 ml (equivalent to 7 cartridges) closest option is 16 mlques#1:- 20mg of the drug in1 ml of la (max mg that can be given to a 20 kg person is 20x4.4=88mg) 88mg of drug in ?ml of la?ml=88/20 = 4.4ml -This is what i have got from Odell .
