Hi all,

If a pt has both first molars+two incisors ....with attach destruction young age,is this enough for gen Agressive periodontitis coz in p190 in pink book ,said 3 perm teeth other than first molars n incisors????

Hi, GAP is generalised interproximal attachment loss affecting 3 other permanent

teeth along with molars and incisor.on radiograph u will be seeing generalised

vertical and alveolar bone loss.and also affects ppl below 30 yrs.

Whereas in LAP the onset is around puberty and affects 2 permanent teeth,the

molar and incisor.so radiography shows bone loss in those particular tooth.I

hope this is clear.
