Now,maximum dose for child 5 years with 20 kg – 20 kgs( weight of the patient) x 4.4 (max dose )= 88mg The formula is 20mg= 1mL of lignocaine So 88mgs= 88/20= 4.4 mL ( That makes 2 cartridges) --maximum dose for adult 125 kg – 20ml (10 ampoules) 125kgs x 4.4 = 550 Again 20 mg =1ml so 550mgs = 550/20= 27.5 mL which makes about 12.5 cartridge. But since the Max dose is 500mgs so anything above that, we don’t consider it.
