Guest guest
Hi all, Please note that The angle of tilt from a line perpendicular to the tooth surface is called the Rake Angle. Positive if back, negative if forward. In practice one is fortunate if one achieves 20 degree positive rake angle, because instruments can not be finer without risk of fracture or rapid loss of sharpness. In fact most scaling is done with negative rake but every effort should be made to achieve most efficient angle Hope that helps , Thanks Miral Sent from my iPad
