Hi sajithaThanks for pointing that actually in skully nicorandil came in the category of potassium channel blocker so i thought potassium sparing do not allow secretion of potassium into urine means one and the same thing.but now i checked on net and it says its a potassium channel activator. This is a huge mistake i must say in a book and i have never gave a thought on it as i read nicorandil causes ulceration so should be the answer. In that scenario i read that nicorandil act as ace inhibitor so should be the answer....because ca channel blockers are associated with gingival enlargement so couldnt be the answer...what do you think? HI ALLyes ur right KANIKA ITS ACE INHIBITORSfor the third question:its EXCAVATION AND TEMPORIZATIONPLACE THE PT ON A HOLDING PHASE IMPROVE THE ORAL HYGIENE THEN PROCEED TO DEFINITIVE RESTORATION.ACCORDING TO OXFORD PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY:It is important to consider the many factors that determine the treatment of a child

with a high caries rate (509HFig. 9.48). If the child presents with an acute problem of pain

or swelling, then immediate treatment is indicated to relieve the child of the pain.

After that, it is important that the clinician considers the attitude of the child and his

or her parents together with motivation towards dental treatment, the co-operation of

the child, the age, and the extent of decay.

It may be possible to place temporary restorations while preventive strategies are

commenced. These will include:

1. Dietary analysis and appropriate advice to the child and the parent.

2. Plaque control, oral hygiene instruction depending on age to the child or the parent,

the techniques of toothbrushing, and disclosure.

3. Fluoride

-tooth paste

-mouth rinse;

-varnish application every 6 months.

4. Fissure sealants

5. Regular recall.

Once the caries is under control, definitive restorative treatment can commenceFOR THE FOURTH QUESTION ITS : TOOTH SUPPORTED DENTURE

-A Spoon Denture : is a small denture usually to replace just one or

two front teeth. The palate part of the denture on suction to hold it in place

as it does not make contact with the inner surfaces of the back or side teeth.

This means that it tends to be unstable and requires skill on the part of the

patient to use their tongue to stabilise it while eating. This lack of

stability is the main disadvantage and the subsequent movement can lead to gum

recession and further loosening. The advantages are that it is cheap and easy

to make and as the gum margins of the other teeth are not contacted by the

denture base, there is less likelihood of decay or gum disease occurring.

Every Denture: is a mucosa borne denture with a specific design to

ensure gingival health.Restricted to the use in upper arch.

-mouth rinse;

In that scenario i read that nicorandil act as ace inhibitor so should be the answer....because ca channel blockers are associated with gingival enlargement so couldnt be the answer...what do you
