Hi gingival enlargement like condition in oral contraceptive users are similar

to pregnancy gingivitis.here the high levels og the hormone oestrogen and

progesterone cause neutrophils chemotaxis and phagocytosis defects leading to

gingival inflammation and generalised enlargement.

The pathogenisis of Peyton and other drugs causing enlargement is given inmaster

dentistry page30-31 .
