Guest guest Posted July 10, 2004 Report Share Posted July 10, 2004 India at the XV World AIDS Conference in Bangkok on July 11. 1) 10 AM: July 11 - Pre Satellite Meting: Holliday Inn Shilom (Phone 02 238 4300) There will be an opportunity for the civil society sector to make structured 1-2 minute remarks at the India satellite between 4.15-6.15 on specific issues with specific reference to the involvement of civil society (including people living with HIV) in addressing prevention, care, support and treatment issues, our needs and challenges. These remarks will allow the new political leadership to understand the role of civil society in fight against HIV infection in India. Those of you, who would like to make these structured remarks, please try to attend the Pre-Satellite meeting at 10 AM, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Shilom. It is absolutely necessary to coordinate our structured remarks to make use of the limited time we have at the satellite. Alternatively we can also give these remarks in writing to the Health Minister at the satellite. So those of you, who can’t make the pre meeting, please bring a hand written/typed remarks. 2) 3 PM: Inauguration of India Stall by Health Minister at the exhibition hall. India Health Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the India Stall (NACO) at 3 PM prior to the India satellite conference. So please do go to the exhibition area (Booth 98) for the inauguration.
