How much certification do you need. How much will this cost, will

this be a closed shop?

What would be classed as Continuous Educational Development?

Would Occ Health count or Scaffold Inspection?

I have to self-fund ! - how much will it cost to those who are

not on European pay?

Should the organisation be run just by Remote Medics - like the

Royal College of Nursing or the Bar Council?

Or will it be run by people who do not do our job.

Is it there to enter into business relationships and make money?

Re: Registration Authority

Hi

These are the two that I am aware of:

Institute of Remote HealthCare (IRHC) -

[7]http://www.irhc.org.uk/ Australasian

Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (AREMT) -

[8]http://www.aremt.com.au/

The AREMT is not a `pure' remote/offshore/austere environment

registry

although it does seem to provide quite a bit of focus for these

areas and

any other international work areas.

Do also see the comments by Bear and Grant as I think they are

valid issues

for both of these organizations. That said I do feel this is a

step in the

right direction at least and both organizations have made quite a

bit of

headway since their inception.
