Hii

Would you please tell me about equivalent dose values for different X-ray types

In Churchill there is a nice table on page 38

2 bitewings = 0.0016 msv

In master dentistry volume 1 on page 252

Intra oral ( bitewing, periapical )= 2-10 msv

How come that 2 bitewings = 0.0016 and on the other hand 1 bitewing = 2-10 ??

Any help will be highly appreciated

HI BASMALAYOU MEAN THE EFFECTIVE DOSESTHEY ARE PRETTY THE SAMETHE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT CHURCHIL EFFECTIVE DOSES IS IN MILLISIVERTS AND MASTERS IS IN MICROSIVERTSPLUS MASTER IS GIVING THE AVERAGE FOR INTRAORAL 2-10 MICRO WHILE CHURCHIL IS MENTIONING THEM IN DETAILSSO U CAN USE WHICHEVER U THINK EASIER TO MEMORIZEBEST REGARDSEBTISAM
