Hi,

Can anybody please tell me!! thickness of PDL ligament i.e thickness and

thinnest region in the root surface? What is the difference between child and

adult PDl?

The width of periodontal ligament is 0.2 mm. It is hourglass is shape(for easy understanding).The PDL is thinnest at the fulcrum region of the root (i.e, approximately at the junction of the middle third and apical third of the root)However, remember that the fulcrum is different for different teeth in the dental arch.
