Quick note on mast cell stabilizers

Hi all,

I noticed some questions on mast cell stabilizers circulating on the group recently and I remember it was one of the questions we had for ORE Part 1 in September last year.

Just to clarify issues,NEITHER Salbutamol NOR Adrenaline is a mast cell stabilizer.Salbutamol is a beta adrenoceptor agonist.Mast cell stabilizers are cromone medications.eg.Cromolyn Sodium.I'm not going to provide any references(as many are quick to ask).Go online to verify the information I've posted.It helps you retain the knowledge gained better when you do so.Cromolyn was one of the options given last year and I remember the question very well because it confused me while preparing for the exam & I was glad I did the research.
