Guest guest
Fran: When we were in the process of diagnosing with OCD,the psychiatrist wanted to see a pediatric neurologist to rule out seizure disorder. I ended up taking her to a pediatric neurologist who specializes in behavioral problems. He used an EEG to not only rule out seizure disorders, but also to diagnose the OCD. Apparently people with OCD show a certain overactivity when exposed to flashing lights in a certain part of their brain. I don't think many neurologists do this--I think it may be somewhat controversial, particularly if used as a single tool to diagnose or rule out OCD. That being said, it sure is nice to be able to tell people who are constantly bombarding me with questions like: So how do you really know she has OCD, she's only 5 years old, don't all kids act like that? BLAH BLAH BLAH.... " But you see, we had brain tests done at the neurologist which confirms she has OCD. " People shut up when you tell them that for some reason. The ignorance of it all! Guess some people won't believe you until a MACHINE confirms it. By the way, I'm pretty sure that OCD is not tranferred specifically through the mother--And I think I read if both parents have it, the chance of offspring having OCD is around %50. 1 in 200 children have OCD (diagnosed)....and the most common mental illness in children behind depression and ADHD. Guest guest
hmmmm this is a far fetched idea (thinking out loud here) and I mean nothing against wsp, but maybe their spray is formulated to work with only their scents. I don't think they would do that... they are a great company and I've never had any problems with any of their products, but it would tend to make a person go "hmmmm" if only their scents mixed with their base. On the other had it's a great marketing idea if thats how they want their base to be used! lol Terri... who is making soap today if it's the last thing she does! itspatti5@... wrote: i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve tonys scents...i really do....i really wanted to use his love spell and dragons blood for this mist .....and neither worked...it is beginning to look like only......wholesalesupplieplus fo's work..and that isnt good news for me lol thanks soo much for your help patti Our members map http://.homestead.com/locations.html Our Message Board http://www.voy.com/21568/ Check out these great Molds!! http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htm Member Kae's Site... Guest guest
I've never used their spray as a slash... never really thought about doing that! I don't see why it wouldn't. I use a full range of difference co's for my FO's in my sprays... Lebermuth, Harbin, Shaw Mudge, Tradewinds and EO's from Now company. Guest guest
gee-wouldn't the sea salt dry your hair out? My friends on the coast always wash it out after swimming as they have told me the salt ruins their hair? They all have showers right at their doors. hhhmmm Deb > >

Guest guest
I thought so too, but there are a ton of botanical extracts in there that must defeat the drying of the sea salt... plus it has collagen in it. I have thin hair and conditioners just weigh it down.... I use the spray... it gets rid of the tangles and I don't have limp hair. Guest guest
Thanks, Patti. Guess I should explain that I was too lazy to empty the gallon out and then add the scent. I just dumped it into the gallon bottle and shook. Then I used a loop thing attached to the end of a drill to stir. Still not all distributed. HELP! Lizz P.S. If I dump it out won't that introduce germs, molds, etc. into the lotion. I don't want to spoil a whole gallon..

Guest guest
Hmmmmmm that is a good point....what I do is...dump it into a large glass measuring bowl until it reads ...8 cups....and then I add my scent and color into it...and stir until it is nice and mixed.....and then..i put it into individual bottles.... i dont belive that putting it into a glass bowl could harm the lotion... i love to answer questions.....god knows i ask enough of my own..it feels good when i can answer...i feel like a little girl saying....ooooh oohhh i know the answer lololol ask any time i will try and help patti

Guest guest
I'm behind on my email reading again, like that's a surprise! But I just wanted to chime in that I also use Bittercreek's bases (lotion, body spray, and bubble bath) and they take the fo's really well. I've used WSP, Tradewinds, Scent Shack, without any problems. HTH!
