Guest guest
Hello Actually, I've been using a housecleaning service ever since I was diagnosed with CHF last year. It's made a big difference, basically I don't get as tired as I used to just by leaving the vacuuming and garbage removal to someone else. I think it's a perfectly reasonable expense, I even had them doing the cooking for a while but that results in one big meal a day that can be divided for lunch the next day, not really suitable to six meals a day. Guest guest
Dear , I think that your site is fantastic, too. I've looked at it a number of times, and you have great stuff. I, too, was afraid of not getting all of my Christmas orders done ~ and I don't even have an official business! This lady in Illinois is keeping me MORE than busy with soapmaking, and it was stressing me out BIG TIME there for a while. I don't have much good advice to give you because I don't have a business or anything, but I just wanted you to know that you can vent to me anytime you want! I know that it helps for someone to listen. You can catch me on and AIM at lvjensen61700, and my ICQ is 20901083. Hope that things get better soon! ~nne in Albany
Guest guest
No, your " climb " was definitely worth it ~ everything happens for a reason! And look at the experience/knowledge that you have gained because of it ~ you started your own business from the ground up, and that's something that not a lot of people get to do ever! You have a lot of skills ~ don't sell yourself short! You have done some amazing things! ~nne in Albany
Guest guest
Hi . I'm sorry that I have no information on selling a domain name, website etc, but please post and let us know how you are doing. Have you made any decisions? You have a lot of people sending loving wishes for your solution to this situation. You will always take with you all that you have learned and experienced, and things do happen for a reason, even if it's not always clear immediately. Maybe it will just be a temporary pause in selling on the internet. Keep your dreams alive, even if temporarily on the back burner. You are obviously very talented to have accomplished so much with your business! Wishing you peace and a Merry Christmas- Carol
Guest guest
: I am keeping a warm spot in my heart for you. I, too, had to give up my shop this fall. The circumstances are very different, but it was a VERY hard decision to make. I am glad to hear that you have put your family ( and you) first. That's the way it should be. I firmly believe that there is Master Plan and this will be for the best in the long run. It's just hard to see right now, isn't it? Guest guest
Vickie- I'm no lawyer, and so my two cents just might be pretty worthless. But what I would do first is contact the people you get the FO from, and ask them if THEY have a copyright on the name Spring Showers. Or if they buy it from another source, ask if they would give you some contact info for that company (I would assure them that you have no intentions of trying to cheat them out of the sales they make to you, that you still intend to buy from them) and see if you can trace this back to the source of the name Spring Showers, see if anyone along that line has the name copyrighted, and I would probably tell them why you are asking. The other thing I would want to know if I were you, this person who is asking you for permission to use and trademark the name, what kind of product are they wanting to use the name for? Is it something that would compete with your product? As I understand it, and as my husband just pointed out, any lawyer can just check the records and see if the name is already legally copyrighted or registered, whichever the correct term is. So it is entirely possible that it is NOT at this point. BUT, if he decides he wants to take the name for whatever he wants to put it to, you (or really, the people before you who used it first) would have the right to contest it because you have been using the name Spring Showers for X amount of time, and it is known that this is the name for one of your products. So you could have a 'I used it first!' right to the name. I would assume that this is why he is asking you for permission, to avoid that possibility. I certainly wouldn't reply until you do some research on it, and it might be a real good idea to ask a lawyer what they think. Best wishes- Lynda Vickie Swaim wrote: >Good evening, >I do not post much but have been confronted with a situation that maybe some one on the list can help me with: >I was contacted by an attorney that is representing a client. >Now on my site I have a goat milk bath seltzer that is named " Spring Showers " for the only purpose that the fragrance oil used is named Spring Showers . >So the lawyer said his client wants consent to use the name Spring Showers (the company I guess wants to trademark this name) but the name does use more than just Spring Showers in it >I do not know how to confront this I just used a name of an fo now someone wants consent >Can someone lend some guidance to this issue? >Do I need to change the name of one of my seltzers or maybe all that have common names? >I just don't know >Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated >Thanks in advance >Vickie >Tierra De Cabros Goat Milk Soap >Goat Meister Dairy Goats >Jerry and Vickie Swaim >http://tierradecabros.bizhosting.com > -- Lynda Sorenson http://www.Luna-Aromatics.com Come to the First Aromatic Un-Conference September 2003 http://www.Luna-Aromatics.com/2003unconf.html

Guest guest
You do not own the right to use the name exclusively, so you should reply that you do not the right to consent...I would, however forward the letter to the distributor of the FO you use with that name and ask them to respond. Guest guest
Hi . I don't have a whole lot of advice from you because I am not too familiar with Igg. I agree with the others about their quality of life. I started to look back on my son's IGG levels to see if I could compare them for you because my doc's were never too concerned about Bradley's igg but his in only at 572. So maybe I also should be more concerned with this. I will have to update you as I plan to talk to our ped immuno within the next week and I will ask him about the levels. Hope all gets better and I will pray for you and all in this wonderful group! Thanks, Amy (mom to Bradley 2 years old, and 6 years old) All four kids have low IG's! Guest guest
I would give them 7 days to respond to you, if they are on vacation and running a business they should have an automatic vacation message set to respond to every email that they receive. If you don't hear back within 7 days I would dispute the charge with my credit card company or with PayPal since you didn't get what you ordered and tried to get ahold of the company. Guest guest
Hello, I have been reading with growing concern, the issue of the fragrances that caused the soap to go bad. I also am worried about the possibility of having this happen to me and I also am one who cannot withstand the financial loss. Would it be possible for you to email me off list and tell me the name of the company so I can take care what I order incase they are a company I purchase from? Thank you, sh@... Guest guest
, Not all fragrances will seize in all soap methods or formulas. It really is a YMMV sort of issue. Some folks do DWCP, ITMHP, HP, or regular old CP. Each method has pros and cons. If you do room temp oils that can have more or less problems. Each fragrance should be tested in a very small batch using your usual oils and methods. Experience will tell you when you need to warm the oil and put FO in or mebbe add FO at a different time, as mebbe very early trace. Definitely not a one size fits all issue. Guest guest
Will she eat gummy bears? We give our Bethany Vita-bears vitamins. Now - they are for kids under 4 years old - but I'm sure with your pediatricians help you could figure out how many to give her. Bethany is 2 1/2 and she LOVES them. They are very soft and don't stick to her teeth. Michele advice Hi All Kenzie (DS 10)is sick again...strept throat. Guest guest
I think this is a case of potential fraud and serious abuse of power. I think the peer review arm of the board should look at this. This smells bad to me. There isn't anything about what you described in the running of this office that sounds ethical. An email to the board of what you have already written may be enough to bring this out into the daylight. Ann Goldeen, Astoria Advice I sent this email to a friend of mine - I would like to get your input on this. I am scheduled to fill-in at this office again on Friday which would be my last day.================== I am substituting at an office today. This week in fact. Its an auto accident type of franchise, called F*** Chiropractic owned by a Dr.P****. Several problems - first of all all the notes were pre-written when I came in - the treaetment etc was there - I was just to add an orthopedic test etc if I did one, and then write an assessment that comes from a prescripted set of about 20 sayings that are devided into 3 categories based on their anticipated progress - sayings like : stage 1 "Feels same but likes treatment", stage 2 "slowly progressing", stage 3 "almost done". I won't do it - I am kind of marking through it as a see it - if an orthopedic test is now negative, even if they are in what he has as stage 1 (he wants an average of 25 visits per patient regardless) I mark the test as negative or normal. I am actually writing negative because I don't trust this guy not to take a " (-)" finding and change it to a " (+) " by marking vertically through the (-). A patient was better today and I recommend to the CA's that his treatment plan be reduced - he reported no pain and had no positive ortho findings and the CA's told me - he is still 3 X week for X number of weeks. It does not matter what the patient is really like, they just create it for insurance. Their notes are good - too good in fact - as they do notactually do what charting is supposed to do : acurately reflect what the patient felt, what was observed, what the assessment was and what was done. Today I noted one patient record in which someone added notes after I was completely done stating that "the patient noted increased stiffness after therapy" - that was not there the day I treated the patient and for some reason (added reason to continue treatment on a patient who in reality is asymptomatic?) was added later, however who added it is unkown to me. Tell me what you think of this - a patient was in a car wreck a month ago, her neck is much better she says, her low back is much worse. On the first visit her only positive ortho finding was a positive Kemps on the left. Today she had a positive SLR at 90 degrees on the right, Positive braggards on the right, positive gaesnlens on the right, positive yeomans on the right and her complaint was of right sides lowback pain. Valsalvas and dejerines were negative. Muscle strength testing was normal 5+, tenderness around her right SI. No bowel changes or leg weakness noted. Accident was 10/16/06. her signs and syumptoms werre progressing up to 10/30. up to this point they were doing ice on the lowback with EMS. They are no longer using Ice. I recommended the use ice again and consider altering treatment (it has just been lumbar rolls). Pain was rated a 9 on the initial visit 10/16/06 and is roughly that now. The CA's say it is from an epidural from childbirth (youngest child is now 5 years of age). They would not follow my advice to alter her treatment. I left a note for the doctor - any other suggestions? I am not comfortable with notes that are 80% done before I do anything - in advance, and CA's that won't consider my suggestions.
