Guest guest
Hi and I’m glad you introed yourself! But what’s your name? Do we call you Aylar? Congrates on undetectable at 12… a good feeling to know the Tx is working J. I had lots of bone, joint and muscle pain when I was tx’ing too. It can be different for everyone, but the fatigue was also a big problem for many people. I remember being told to take vitamin B12 which does help some. I’m , aka Llinda, in Idaho with a great collection of critters and one hubby in the dog house. Guest guest
Hi. I'm VickieG, aka onelildeltagirl. I live in Brighton, TN., which is 30 miles north of Memphis and I have not started tx yet. I just received my meds yesterday and am waiting to get instructions, which will happen Saturday before noon sometime. I have picked Tuesday nights for shots, so I will start my injections on the 26th this month. I too am 1b, so I'm glad to hear that you have become undetedtable at week 12. I was wondering if I would be able to do that. You will find that there are people in this group that are in all stages of of treatment as well as not yet begun and also finished. It's a good group and you will find help and friendship here. Guest guest
Thank you, Tim for your input. I think it's too late to change it, though. I called yesterday and got my apt. for blood testing set up as well as my next apt. to see my dr. Everything is set up around my Tuesday night shots. So, I will continue as planned. I picked Tuesday nights because I like to do my yard work on Monday and Tuesday. Then, Shot on Tuesday night and hopefully will feel like doing something with hubby by Saturday and Sunday. If not, I will just do what I feel like doing when I feel like doing it. I am prone to get anxiety also. I read everything that I find online as well as everything that is sent to me about this disease. (some good info., some not) I am finding myself reading the same thing over and over again lately. I think that means that I have about read it all by now. The basics anyway. At first the information scared me, then I realized that everyone is affected differently and all those symptoms are an accumulation of all the other Hep. C victims, who have taken treatment and I will not necessarily have every symptom listed, only some. And, maybe not any. It's best to keep a positive attitude and believe you can do whatevery you need to do to beat this dragon. I can do that. I went through a very bad time in 1984/1985, after a car accident, that almost killed me. Four months in intensive care, physical therapy, learning to walk again, etc., etc., etc. Yes, blood transfusions! Hence, I consider myself a victim of this disease. (but, everyone is a victim of it) But, victims don't win by lying down. They get up and fight with whatever they have. That's what this group is doing. And, it's a wonderful thing to have the knowledge of other's past experiences in order to help one understand what they are going through, what is normal and what they may need to worry about and especially if things are not going well, there is always hope. Talking to someone in this group may help you find that hope that you have not discovered yet. Sorry, I did't intend to get on the soap box and rattle on and on. God Bless you all. Hugs! Guest guest
Hi Aylar(?) I'm SuZie, HepC+ since probably 1969 or 70. I tried tx twice but it didn't work for me - long ago, different tx. Now I'm in ESLD like Del but not yet ready for t p. I live up here in the G W N (Great White North) a k a Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, about as far away climatically from ville as you can get. In the dead of winter -30C, snow up to my pupik, I envy you. SpYke, my roomie, does not. He's a Galactic Overlord in Training - that's right - a cat. He has lots of fur so heat is out. Anyways, welcome to the family, we're a strange bunch but loving & helpful as can be. If you have a question, ask & we'll find the answer you need. Guest guest
, Vickie, Tim, Pat/ww, Deliman, SuZie thanks for your replies and nice to meet you all. My name is aylar. Tim, The rash was hives. Doc said i may have had a slight allergy to something which became full blown on tx. I had eaten shrimp at a blues festival that weekend plus been exposed to a lot of allergens in the air. I wore along pants and long sleeve shirt but did have sun on face all day. He didnt feel it was sun related. Rash was over all bumps that itched like mad and felt like 1000 fire ants crawling and biting me. I went to ER . They give me shot of prednisone & benadryl and prescriptions of both, for 9 days. I started clearing over next few days. Still don't know its cause but was very scary. No shellfish for me until after tx just in case. I was worried it was the riba or interferon i was having reaction to and build up at week 8 was presenting. Turned out not to be thank God. I work full time (so far) and spend weekends south of daytona with my boyfriend. aylar Don't be flakey. Get Yahoo! Mail for Mobile and always stay connected to friends. Guest guest
You do the housework when you feel like you can, just like we wives and girlfriends do. It'll be there when you can do it. Guest guest
Goodmorning Kate: I used to work for GNC (General Nutrition Center) and have learned quite a bit about " natural " remedies, such as shark cartiledge, bee pollen, omega 3 fish oils, Black cohosh, etc. Bee pollen was actually studied in the UK as a possible anti- inflammatory however was found inconclusive. Same goes for the other " naturals " . That's not to say we shouldn't use them but it may also be why we don't discuss them. The reason for the quotations around the word natural is because anything sold in a store in a package form is not natural, it's processed. Natural would be something you get yourself or perhaps buy in raw form. I will recommend that you take the B complex vitamins at the very least. You will find your energy level will get a bit of a lift and it'll help your anemia as well. Without vitamin B you won't absorb iron as easily thus leading to anemia. Take care and be well.
