Guest guest
Hello everyone, My name is . I have a 4 year old healthy daughter and a 28 month old boy named Tommy who has been sick pretty much since the day he was born. I will give you all the short version. My son was born with a laryngeal trachesophegeal cleft which took 17 months to diagnose. He was pretty much had an admission every month until his repair which was a year ago this September. He did really well after his repair. However, when he turned 2, he started with high fevers 105 with ulcers on his tonsils. This has happened for the last 5 months. Last month, his WBC went to 18,000 also. I have been seeing an ID doctor at MGH and he thinks maybe my son has PFS. He is going to the OR next Thursday to have his tonsils out. Every article I read says this helps. I am wondering what experience you mothers have had since you have had your child tonsils out. Thanks for listening..... Guest guest
I would agree. I read your post and I though of my daughter. She was diagnosed with OCD almost 2 years ago, since then we have had many different diagnoses that still did not address all we were dealing with. Just recently, after through neuropsychological and psychological testing we have a solid primary diagnosis of Asperger's (a high functioning form of autism). Many of the things you wrote about I see or have seen in my daughter. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 3:24 PM Subject: Re: HELLO Hi , I only have a minute now but wanted to know if you've ever had her evaluated for autism? Just a few things you wrote had me thinking of that. A LOT of what you wrote can be OCD, but " autism " also crossed my mind on some things. More later, > > Hi, my name is my daughter is 16 and was diagnois with OCD/ANXIETY disorder for a long this issue was not address although it was present since she was 4 or 5 years old. Symptoms vary but basically you're absolutely exhausted, weak and achey all the time (imagine the worst flu you've ever had and multiply a lot). Basically it sucks. But hey, looking forward to getting well again and certainly makes you appreciate all the smaller stuff one can do! Suggest you google it if you want more info as probably not appropriate for this forum (not sure, only new). Cheers, Sunflower.

I used to have it really bad until Liz, one of our mods, recommended 5-htp, a supplement dervied from a bean from Africa. I've been fibro-flare free since Jan, with one exception last week, which was stress-related. You might want to try 5-htp. -- Sincerely, Anya Anya's Garden of Natural Perfume http://AnyasGarden.com Natural Perfumers Guild http://NaturalPerfumersGuild.com Natural Perfumers 1200+ members Group http://tinyurl.com/78kmv

I have MS and back when I could afford it, I used a couple of hundred dollars in supplements every month (for extreme fatigue, vertigo, double vision, etc.). I can't really afford it at the moment, but if I could, I'd also use something called DMG (dimethylglycine); another panacea.
