hmmm thats not good. I guess it just doesnt work on all but it sure helped

Rudy. He must have been in icu ten or more times the six years before and

only once in the eight years since and then it had nothing to do with his

lungs or sinus's. I wish you the best of luck and I totally empathiz with

you. It is absolutely no fun. Our big deal now is watching Rudy's blood

pressure because of his meds. His first day on them it went down to 90/60

which is purdy dern low!!! School nurse was having fits!! lol He's been on

new meds for about 10 days now though so he's pretty regulated now. He was

so proud on Thanksgiving because he got a full shave done (by me) and some

aftershave like a big boy. We went out to eat with a bunch of family and the

waitress thought he was under 12!! Poor baby tries so hard to be a " big guy "

but the world wont let him. He's going to be (they are) 14 in just five days

and it is hard to put the age with the body! is blossoming so much

and looks so grown up that absolutely no one believes they are twins any

more. Oh well, such is life.

We're dealing with Vinnie's runny/stuffy nose too!

He only went to school 25 out of 44 days the first quarter and this quarter

is probably going to be worse!

I just can't send him when he's not feeling good, he's not running a fever.

The last time (about a month ago)we took him to the doctor, she said to just

keep giving the Albuterol. I took him off that and started giving him over

the counter medicine. It's just not helping enough!! Poor little guy is

having trouble sleeping.

We all had a great Thanksgiving. We didn't cook because my husband has been

working 7 days a week and Thursday was his only day off. We visited at my

parents house, then meet his Mom & sister for buffet.

We also put up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving. I know! WAY too early for

me, but we had to do it.

Vinnie wants a slide for Christmas, he uses anything as a slide and says

" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE "

Sloan wants a tent and a latter (just kidding) but she is still climbing on

everything! The other day she got herself up on kitchen counter, in the

cabinet, got a bowl and her own snack! I asked her how she got it, she said

" Meya " (me ya) she used to call herself " me me "

Both of my girls had their tonsils and adnoids removed

in Sept. It has helped some. She has had 2

snotty noses since then but they cleared up within a

couple of days. Hannah though, has had 3 or 4. It last

up to 2 weeks and the drainage is always thick and

green. It's like she never had her tonsils and adnoids

removed!

I have to agree about the adenoids, was so nasally and had

aconstant runny nose last winter. We got her adenoids removed in

February and so far this year (knock on every wood product) she has

not had a constant runny nose, which in turns has kept her face from

drying out and getting a nasty rash on it. Who knows but it has

seemed to do the trick.

Hi Pam! And everyone!

Here's a thought about the " noses " It might sound too simple, but, how

about just increasing their fluids, esp with OJ and lots of vitamin C,

how about a little of echinacea drops in their juice???? My twins and

older two for that matter, have had some kind of " nose " going on and

that's what I've been doing, seems to help! Just my two cents!

Hi Pam,

Sorry to hear about Hannah's snotty nose....Nicki has been the same even

with a partial adenoidectomy!

All I do with Nicki is to try and avoid mucus forming foods. Cows milk is

one but the worst culprit is orange juice! Pear juice is the greatest then

apple juice.

The other thing I have discovered that helps with runny noses and chesty

conditions is Fenugreek Seed which comes in capsule form so I can break it

open and put the powder in something tasty.......smells ghastly but the

girls don't seem to mind too much!

I am just trying out Grape Seed Extract too which is supposed to be a

natural antibiotic......so far so good - Nicki's asthma like condition seems

to be getting better AT LAST!

Hope things improve!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the advice on the snotty noses! I did

put a humidifier in the girls room. I went and bought

a nother one that is alot quieter than the other one I

had. I also started giving the girls those gummy bear

vitamin c and echincia. Plus I give them a product

called body balance loaded with eveything you can

think of. All the aminio acids and minerals, with

added vitamins. It's really good. I have been taking

it too. The girls have a lot more energy since I

started them on it. Hannah is even talking more and

has been taking a few steps without holding on

to anything. Wow!!!!

Carolyn, I will have to give the grape seed extract a

try.

About the same time as you posted this message I was sending you a

private thank you for your welcome and offering to help if your

mother was on ropinirole - coincidence or what?

Are you sure of the dosage? I started off on .25 (1/4 milligram) 3

times a day.

I have to go and prepare food for my wife now but I'll prepare a

ropinirole

I just met with my disability lawyer today and was given a printout

from the Internet that was on The Arthritis Foundations website about

Fibromyalgia. It states that many individuals with fibromyalgia feel sad or

down although only about 25 % are considered clinically depressed and that

some researchers think there is a link between fibromyalgia and certain

forms of depression and chronic anxiety. It also says that, however, any

person with a chronic illness -- not just fibromyalgia -- may feel depressed

at times while struggling with their pain and fatigue. It also says that

part of the treatment of fibromyalgia includes medications to diminish pain

and improve sleep. That last part seems to be your doctors reasoning in

prescribing the Trazodone.

Kim, Hi... wanted to ask you how yall got to get the grasp of eating. Did he have other reson for not eating? We are trying so hard with Dayton, one week he does well the next he falls back even further. I am to the end of my whit. He will be 3 in June. Sure would be great to get it out before his b-day. So Happy for you and the tube is out and he is talking.

Everyone is doing ok here. Mikayla started Kindergarten this year at our church's school. She really likes it. This is the first year for it. I'm teaching there 2 days a week. is a specific reason, or is she just taking her time getting started?

has an ASD that will require surgery when she is 4 or 5, but other

than that is really healthy. I feel very lucky about that. Well, just a

Thank you, to you and everyone for the welcome back. It is so nice to be

back. I seem to have a little more time on my hands, not sure where it came

from but I'll take it!

Abbi and were born at 35 weeks. Abbi was first weighing 5lb 7oz and

was second weighing 6lb 2 oz. When they were in the special care

nursery had 3 hearing tests. They never gave Abbi one. I asked them

why and they told me she only met one of the criteria for a hearing test. I

didn't think to push the matter. I never thought she could have a hearing

delay. The thought never crossed our minds again until she hadn't started

talking by 2yrs. We thought it was a first child speaking for the second

child thing, but we realized that Mikayla wasn't talking for Abbi, she would

however translate for us. So we had both of their hearing tested a little

after they turned 2 and both of them had a moderate hearing loss, just under

the line for hearing aids. 's was cleared up from tubes. Abbi's they

think is from either birth or becasue she had 7 ear infections and numerous

times with fluid just between 5 months and 18 months old. We are waiting for

another hearing eval to be done again. Her speech has improved ALOT but it

is still slurred and her vocabulary is limited. Therapy was helping but we

couldn't continue where they were going because they have an age limit of 3

and the only other place I feel comfortable with is booked solid. So here we

wait!

Thanks for asking, I love to talk about my kids! Sorry to have written a

mini book. Got to get kids in bed. time slipped up on me!
