The moderator will review the request for anonymous postings case by case basis.] Dear all, In the previous ICAAPs at least in the 5th and 6th there were Media Scholarships which covered travel and stay with a modest per diem. Appended below is a letter received from the 7th ICAAP Secretariat < " >info_icaap7@...> stating that Media people who are selected are accredited as an official media delegate at the 7th ICAAP. No mention of travel or the modest per diem! As for stay one is directed to reserve hotel rooms at one's own cost!! _________ On behalf of the Publicity Committee of the 7th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific (ICAAP), I am pleased to inform you that you are accredited as an official media delegate at the 7th ICAAP. To receive your media badge and information package on site, you are kindly requested to check-in at the Media Accreditation Desk and to present the following documents. A copy of your press credential An identification document/ID card Letter of acknowledgement (if acknowledgement is sent to you by E-mail, please print out and present a copy) Media Accreditation Desk is located at the Grand Floor of Kobe International Exhibition Hall. Accredited media delegates are requested to wear their media badge and possess their IDs at all times in the Congress site. In general, accredited delegates will have free access to all sessions and exhibitions; however, please note that admission to some parts of the Congress may be restricted due to space or security reasons. [VISA] To apply for a visa, the applicant must apply in person to an Embassy or Consulate. There is no system by which a proxy can carry out the application procedures in Japan. When applying for a visa at an Embassy or Consulate of Japan, you will be requested to submit a set of documents including a valid passport.
