Guest guest
Welcome! The first twenty or so episodes really lay out the basics for the IOWL approach, so you might want to start with those. As for the rest, I listened to them in order, but I don't think that that's absolutely necessary. For a while I was really hooked and listened to two or three per day (that was also when I had a one hour commute to and from work- quite a lot of listening time...!). Now, I often randomly listen to them, depending on what my iPod is coming up with for me that day. And most, if not all, the time, I discover something new, or hear it differently that I have at previous times. Welcome again and enjoy your IOWL journey! Jantje > > I've just recently discovered the podcasts and would like to know from those experienced is it best to start at the beginning? > I would like to have a normal relationship with food and I think this maybe how I achieve it. I am 36 from Melb, Australia mum of 2 kids and don't think I gave had a normal relationship with food for about 20 years. I know now the answer is not in a diet or fitness program but mind. I'm hoping through 's method I can find the balance that I need. > I look forward to learning as much as I can and I'll offer what I can. > Thank you >

Guest guest
Thank you for welcoming me in this group. How long have you been listening to the podcasts? What did it change in your way of eating? As I said earlier I 've already dropped more than 3 pounds without feeling deprived. What helped me most is the strategy of natural slender people (I listen more to my body), not eating processsed food ( I haven't got choice because I have some food intolerance and must be careful) and relaxed intent( not only for weight issues). > > > Your English is flawless. Guest guest
Personally, I've been listening to the podcasts for several months now, but not applying the principles until now. I'm getting there slowly. I'm going back and listening and taking notes on each podcast. ________________________________ From: norman.esther <norman.esther@...> weightloss Sent: Mon, October 25, 2010 3:02:20 AM Subject: Re: Hi Thank you for welcoming me in this group. Guest guest
After a few months of back and forth house hunting between cities, stress, aggravation, and trying to tend to my lovlies, I hope to relisten to the podcasts and make a new attempt to listen to my body starting next week. Guest guest
So, why wait? How about getting back into the practice of listening *now*, even if you wait until next week to work on responding to your body's requests? :-) ________________________________ From: " tania_khalil@... Guest guest
Hey all, just an idea here... not saying it will work for anyone else like it does for me. However, I've been listening to the podcast at night. I have all of them on my itunes and I put them into a playlist and then let it play all night. I typically wake up a few times a night anyway, and now I hear IOWL while I'm laying there. Probably getting some of it subconsciously as well. This is in answer to those of you who don't have time to listen right now. I am also so very tight on time, and this is how I've handled that issue. Guest guest
Today is the day, then:). I like the suggestion of listening, but maybe not responding. Thanks:). I hope today that I will be listening and responding, though... Guest guest
OMG, Thank you!!! Recently there was some update to the iPod touch which took away the ability to shuffle podcasts. I used to use the shuffle feature ALL THE TIME. It was great--somehow the iPod would always serve up just what I needed to hear, when I needed to hear it. And it would generally be something I never would have picked just because of the title.... I may not be able to shuffle podcasts, but I CAN put them all in a playlist, and shuffle that.... You just made me very happy. :-) ________________________________ From: MommaD <rottzilla2@...> weightloss Sent: Fri, October 29, 2010 11:46:13 AM Subject: Re: Hi Hey all, just an idea here... not saying it will work for anyone else like it does for me. Guest guest
Hello, I agree, it really hasn't been easy for me to listen during the day. At night when I'm alone with my thoughts it is a perfect time to listen to . I get back on track quickly and self correct. Jane In a message dated 11/7/2010 3:08:26 P.M. Guest guest
Liz, that's great!!! You are such an inspiration. Sugar is my downfall too. I haven't been doing much of anything healthy. Joe is giving me Jackie Warner's book on eating healthy and a healthy way to diet. This is one program I think I can do because the first 2 weeks, you can eat as usual but add things in such as eggs, extra fruit, veggies protein etc. But then comes the " plan " which is basically like any other but you can have 2 cheat (don't like that word) meals a week and that is supposed to keep you eating clean during the week. Anyway this is my year to finally make good on all my promises to myself including doing LifeLift faithfully.  Keep letting us know how you are doing and I will do the same in 2011. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all too. One of my favorite quotes is from Rainer Rilke. " And now let us welcome the new year......full of things that have never been. "  Only good things! Chris ________________________________ From: " lizkins9@... I decided to cut back on my sugar consumption, most of you know that I'm a junk food junky. Since doing so I've lost between 15 and 20 lbs. I'm also still doing my LL breaths and walking a few days a week. Love, Liz __________________________________________________________ Refinance Rates at 2.8% $160,000 Mortgage $434/mo.
