ankylosed primary teeth with permanent successor

1.may resob in normal manner

2.if cause deflect of permenent teeth from normal eruption path thanextration n

space mantainance required.

primary teeth without permanent successor

primary teeth shoud be extact early to ovoid vertical descripency and pdl

problem

in this case space maintainance is contraindicated best treatment is to move

teeth in edentulous space b/c erupting teeth bring bone with them .

permanent teeth

extration is only treatment

mixed dentition any prostetic replacement

permanent dentition we can go for implants or any prosthetic replacement.

most anklosis hav easily identifiable cause; get an x-ray of the tooth

divergent roots,long roots,ankylosis,sclerosed bone,

really should not waist time but plan trans alveolar tech..
