Hi a,

is correct. PLEASE check with your insurance company. Most

insurance companies (including us big bad HMO's) have done away with

the " step therapy " approach for these types of medications. Even if

your insurance company still uses the " step therapy " approach, there

are usually ways that your physician can " override " the criteria with

clinical information. You should not accept this dead end from your

physician. You are still the consumer with your physician & your

insurance company.
