Guest guest
What a question...ummm Mom's German Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. I would love to be with the people I love and those who have been supportive of me throughout my life. I would definitely have my little grandson there. I would have a cool climate, for me that is around 70 degrees or so. Just the thought of being there with those who I know love me makes my heart brim full to overflowing and content. What more could I desire? I suspect we would play some Rummy and just talk and enjoy one another. Kids would be playing and laughter would be like tinkling chimes in the air. We would reminisce of times gone by that would bring more joy between us. It would be awesome to be able to have all the people who have passed from this life that had such impact in my life there and be able to share with them what they did and how it affected me, letting them know that they really made a difference in my life. It would be nice to be able to apologize to others that I should have listened to and didn't that ended up causing them heartache that they would not have to have. I don't think that you could put it all into one day. A lot of this will be reality when I pass from this life to the next. And that one day in eternity is like a thousand years. There might be enough time to get it all done. --- Karma Tucker <karmatucker@...> wrote: > An off topic question. > > If you were to have your perfect birthday > celebration what would it be like??? Guest guest
Hi Karma, Hmmm--I would have Mom's homemade old fashioned sugar cream pie not cake. All my children and family would be there. THAT is what is really VIP to me. Connie what is your favorite... LifeLift > An off topic question. > > If you were to have your perfect birthday celebration what would > it be like??? Guest guest
Sounds wonderful Virginia! Do you have your moms recipe that you can share? I do have several hobbies. I seem to collect things. Recipes, exercise videos/dvd's, health/fitness books. :-) My family loves German Chocolate Cake and I'm always looking for good recipes. Karma Re: what is your favorite... Guest guest
Yum Connie, I always asked for banana cream pie for my birthday instead of cake. My mom would make me banana cream pie with home made cream and my favorite strawberry jello. My favorite jello has sour cream in it. Sounds aweful, but it tastes really good! I don't think I've every heard of the kind of pie you would have. Do you have the recipe to share? Thanks, Karma what is your favorite... Guest guest
Sure, Karma. I'll get it copied off for you before too long. If your like the rest of us any others will pale in comparison. Going to be out of town tomorrow morning but may be able to get it done later in the day. Was the application packet still on your door when you got home? If not I'll have to copy it off for you again. You asked us the question...now, what is your answer to the question? I bet it will surprise us all. ;-) Question. How can I reply to the e-mail like this and use my automatic signature and get it to be at the end of where I have written without deleting the message (like yours)? --- Karma Tucker <karmatucker@...> wrote: > Sounds wonderful Virginia! Guest guest
Yes, got the packet. I'm not sure what has happened with it since I took it to the office. I'm sure Rose is getting it to the correct people. I'll come over sometime and set up your signature on your e-mail sometime. As for my birthday. Hmmm..... My favorite is banana cream pie the way my mom makes it. She makes homemade pie crust, she is so proud of how flaky her crust and it does make the pie taste better. She uses a double boiler to make the pudding, french vanilla. And she makes home made whipped cream from real cream. That is my favorite dessert. I used to get my own pie that I didn't have to share! I enjoy having family around. My girls love to play board games and card games and so do I. I enjoy birthdays that are nice and relaxed. Guest guest
Excellent question Karma! I would have my family and close friends get together and we'd all fly to Belize; enjoy the warmth, sunshine and the beauty of nature given us. I would eat tons of fresh fruit; actually a huge fruit bowl with my birthday candle in it would be my cake! Plenty of rest, relaxation and of course the money would magically appear; so no worries in what would be spent. The gift of relaxation would be the best part. : ) Love, Wanda. > > An off topic question. > > If you were to have your perfect birthday celebration what would it be like??? What would you do? Guest guest
Thanks Rashelle, I appreciate you taking time to write. I know you are busy. I unbusied a bit this year. LOL, I quit one of my jobs. I have for years run the before and after school program for the school and YMCA. This year I just ran out of time. I simply couldn't work it into my schedule since my girls have gotten older and involved in sports. When I had two in Cross Country, now one in basketball, and two in gymnastics. My rule is they get one sport since there are four of them and only one of me. Take care, Karma what is your favorite... > LifeLift > > > An off topic question. > > > > If you were to have your perfect birthday celebration > what would > > it be like??? What would you do? Guest guest
Virginia, I'm replying to this older e-mail to let you know what transpired.... I got the recipe, I made it to bring over to you. I had it done a few days early so I could bring it over on the 20th so you could celebrate the day before as well. I had the card all picked out and safe in my planner so it wouldn't get forgotten or ruined. The cake turned out well, in fact too well apparently. LOL, since I hadn't let my family in on my plans they thought the cake was for them. Great after school snack apparently. LOL I then let them know of my plans, however time was now a problem. So..... you get to celebrate your birthday late because I made your cake yesterday, let everyone know to LEAVE IT ALONE, it was spoken for! Hopefully I will get it delivered today and have some time to visit also. I'll give you a call later today to see if this works for you. If not, just know.... I had great intentions of getting it to you not once, but TWICE.
