Guest guest
Hi all this is the letter wrote for the funeral He wrote it for me the day my mother Died and placed it on my bible and we revised for the funeral Dear Family and Friends of Elaine: Be Strong. No body saw this coming and there is no one to blame. Remember God does everything and he is in control. Grandma was a God fearing lady and we can take comfort knowing she is with Christ in heaven. God says in 14 that we should not let our hearts be troubled. Trust in me says the Lord. In the Fathers house there are many rooms, and we know it was time for him to enjoy Elaine by his side. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. She gets to hug the one that created her and in that we should be happy. Ecclesiastes says there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance. Sorrow is ours for a time and is normal, even Jesus wept when his friends died. However, we are comforted to know Elaine is happy in heaven. God says again in “That he who believes in me will live, even though he dies.†In 2 Corinthians he speaks “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.†God is truly the one that can comfort us in everything. We are blessed to have family and friends that are here for us and that will give us comfort. Sadness, hurt, questions, grief and multiple emotions are running through your mind. God did this, He did this according to His purpose. Though we may be hurting God is seeing our faith in him. Remember this as you go through this season of grief. Remember God never puts something in our way that we can’t handle. He will keep us in the fire as long as possible but by trusting in him we turn out beautiful. Trust in this passage in Ephesians “The task ahead of you is never as great as the power behind you.†Be strong in the Lord and in his almighty power. Grandma we love you with all our hearts. You were the backbone of this family and meant the world to all of us. You will live on in our hearts and memories. Elaine is now in heaven and Just think she gets to hear the words of Jesus “Well done my good and faithful servant.
