Guest guest
Becca, welcome home and know that you were missed!!!! I laughed out loud picturing the parents watching their children being parboiled....what a visualization!!!! You know my family are all sun worshippers....so much so that they resemble fine leather...and actually own their own tanning beds so they can maintain that "healthy sun-kissed look" (there words--not mine!!!) I always felt like Dracula...running from the light...and avoiding the sun like the plague!!! Finally....a group of people who understands!!!!! I am glad you made it home safely, and look forward to hearing from you soon...you wit and humor is anticipated every time i see your name on my mail list!!! Love ya...... Guest guest
I am 5' 7 and 193 lbs so I have about 25 to 30 to lose. You would never know I weigh that much by looking at me because I have alot of muscle but I have the dreadful thick middle where I think I have become insulin resistent. Im just gonna keep on breathing. I did lose 2 inches in my hip the first week but cant seem to get any off that stomoch and waist area. I truly believe this is for me and eventually it will come off. Karma Tucker <karmatucker@...> wrote: Excellent! Like I said, I'd never measured after just 10 breaths. I have measured myself after 40 consecutive breaths and had a measureable difference. Now, you need to keep in mind that I had inches to lose! I kind of chuckle at those people who are down to 5 or 10 pounds to lose and grumble that it isn't coming off fast. At the last 5 or 10 pounds it is time to consider that this reshapes and compacts us and even though we weigh more, we look really good! I am 5'11 " and wear a size 10 jean when I'm weighing 175 pounds. If I were to freak out over me weight, then it would bother me. But, I like how I look in size 10 I've gone smaller and I think I look sickly at a lower weight and clothes size. Anyway. LifeLifters learn that we go by how our clothes fit, NOT what the scales say. :-) I'm glad you had a good workout. Karma hey everybody! Glad to see everybody on tonight...last night there wasn't much action. Pretty funny when you call a forum or chat room " Action " anyway I look forward to getting online with you girls every night. Does anybody know if you have to do the 40 breaths that Rashelle recommends for weight loss all at once or can you split it up. I usually do 20 o30 in the morning...that is about all I can do at one time at this point and then sometimes I do a w/o video before I go to sleepy town. If I have to do 40 all at once I will have to work up to that. Amie Black-Buchanan Salon Carpe Diem 770-965-4201 --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Thank You Wanda, I'll keep on truckin, this has to come off of me. winwithlifelift <winwithlifelift@...> wrote: Hi Karma, I love the way you put that about us looking for inch loss and not the scale. I never go by the scale either. I can carry water weight up to 12 pounds difference on a daily basis. If I weighed myself daily then I would certainly get discouraged. But, like you, I go by clothes; it tells the difference. I still go by the comfort of how much room in an arm chair; or if I can sit in a restaurant booth comfortably; etc. Those are always my way of knowing. Amie, great test with the 10 breaths. Karma is amazing at making sure we are truely concentrating on our breathing; and not rushing thru them. Excellent idea re-watching the original dvd; I do that monthly even after all these years. Great job! Take care, Wanda Hi Amie, > You can split it up. Good news, right. :-) > Karma > hey everybody! > > Glad to see everybody on tonight...last night there wasn't much action. Guest guest
If the stomach is what you are after be sure to do the 10 consecutive like you did earlier. Really, really concentrating on flexing that muscle behind the belly button. Doing the belly rub that Rashelle demonstrates in the origional is great for getting rid of that stubborn belly. Do you have the origional? hey everybody! Glad to see everybody on tonight...last night there wasn't much action. Guest guest
Hello Dear Karma, It is wonderful to have you back posting like this. It really does remind me of all the times when we first met. I had a lot more time then too and I used to post almost daily. I loved it and it enriched my life in so many ways to be a part of such an amazing group of women. We still have a lot of our oldies and so many of our incredible new LifeLifter's and it is still so uplifting to be here. I love it when I have a minute and I get on line and start reading all the posts. Your idea to measure after 10 breaths will be very interesting. I know that doing 40 straight, as you say with complete focus can often create a reduction in inches. Even after all these years I find when I stop and do a full 40, with full intent on the inch loss that it is remarkable how my body feels like it is shrinking and firming and tightening up in a way it does not with any other kind of workout I have ever done. Amie, your energy is beautiful. You are such a wonderful addition to our group. I am so happy to see Connie. Ellen, Melinda, Virginia, Kelley, and both of our beautiful 's back posting too. I know I can always count on Wanda to be here and I love it when Laurie and can find a moment to post. There have been so many great posts the past week that I really don't want to try to list everyone and take a chance to leave even one of you out, so if I missed you, please forgive me.. You are all so precious and important and you each add so much to the quality of this group. All I can say is thank you all for taking the time out of your day to come here and inspire all of us. This is one place we can always count on to come and feel welcome and uplifted. Be blessed, be healthy and take good care, Rashelle Harness the Powerful Benefits of Oxygen with LifeLift. Guest guest
Hi Rashelle, I love it when you have time to post too. I'm home this week working on taxes. Ack, Ack! So, am taking more breaks than usual. I remember when I read that first newsletter that said you had upped your workout to 8 minutes. I just knew that was a typo! LOL, I am at that 8 minute point in my life so it is funny that after all these years I finally understand. LOL I'm toning so I don't scare any little kids at the beach. I have done the tight jean test with 40 consecutive breaths. To do that just find a pair of jeans that are skin tight, you know the ones you have to lay down to zip up. LOL Then do the 40 breaths and put on those jeans again. It has been my experience that they are somehow looser. Are you home for a while? Hope your day is blessed, Karma hey everybody! Guest guest
Hi Amie, You better stay in touch; we miss you when you're not here. : ) I'm sure most of us have done this; and the best way to get back on track is to just start today with 5 LL breaths only; no exercise, just the breath. Then continue on your day. You just might want to be able to get a few more breaths in later on. Start slowly today knowing you are making yourself much healthier when you are able to get your breathing in. How does that sound? I'll do the breaths with you! Look forward to chatting soon. Love, Wanda. > > Just wanted to say Hey to ya'll. I've been reading and keeping up with you guys,I just havent had alot to say latley. Guest guest
Thanks Wanda, I will. I have to make myself slow down and take care of me. I think I get discouraged with weight loss and then I just quit...I know I have to persevere. I have been at a plateau for 3 weeks. I haven't done LL in two weeks so I'll try to motivate myself in the morning. I usually get to work before anybody else and do my breathing then. Like I said I have to take this time for me and not let other things get in the way. Thanks, I'll keep in touch. winwithlifelift <winwithlifelift@...> wrote: Hi Amie, You better stay in touch; we miss you when you're not here. : ) I'm sure most of us have done this; and the best way to get back on track is to just start today with 5 LL breaths only; no exercise, just the breath.
