Thanks for all the welcomes everyone! It is spring break here so I'm way

behind on reading my posts.

is the wait for Evie to get diagnosed because the DR is booked that far

ahead. What kinds of symptoms are you seeing in Evie? I'm just curious

what kinds of things other parents see in there kids. Tori meds really help

her from being so noncompliant and she seems much happier. She plays more.

How did you decide that Evie might have asd?

Hi there Janet,

And welcome to Lifelift and to this great supportive list. I get

very excited when someone new joins us in conversation.

I am obese; and have lost weight with Lifelift and healthy eating

plans. I have been doing LL for many years now. And I'm so happy

you found LL. This is a true gi

With 40 breaths a day; and if you are really pulling in the butt and

tummy with that hold; you will certainly see inches dropping off your

body. I am a very slow loser due to various reasons; such as years

of yo yo dieting; medications; etc. All of this definately affects

ones metabolism.

If you would find benefit in this; try writing down everything you

put into your mouth; food; snacks; gum; water; soda; etc. This will

give you an honest look at what you eat and you can work from there

on what you would like to change or improve upon. It's all one

small change at a time; and Janet, you're starting it with doing your

LL breathing.

I make up a lot of my exercises or stretches when doing Lifelift. I

am extremely creative with when/where I am doing my breathing. A few

years back I started doing 5 LL breaths each time I used the restroom

at home and at work. At work I would stretch my arms to reach the

stall door while in a sitting position and do my 5 LL breaths. After

2 weeks of those exercises others started to notice some definition

in my lower arms. Other little things I'll do is while laying in

bed; doing some LL breaths before I get up with major stretches. My

stretch band (Rashelle sells them on her site with or without the

stretch band video) is on the side of my bed. Sometimes I use that

as well before getting up. I also find with having a larger sized

body; that if I lean against a wall and push my back far into that

wall while breathing; I create a vacuum like none other. When

sitting on a recliner I do a few LL breaths while stretching/flexing

my legs; or doing leg lifts. Just so many ways to get positions in

throughout the day. My favorite exercise I do is this; each time I

stand up to do something; I will do one LL breath and when I squeeze

in the butt and tummy; I hold both in and start breathing normally

while I walk to where ever it was I was going; not a huge distance

because I do feel the burn quickly; but I breathe normally just keep

the tummy and butt tucked in; using muscles my body forgets it even

had. Little things like that will help your metabolism kick in.

Also remember, to eat a breakfast. Like some of us; we tend to skip

meals thinking it will help us lose weight. Wrong. Your body needs

to know it is being fueled in order for the metabolism to kick in.

So don't skip those meals. I eat a lot less for a meal; and include

a snack or two in my day.

If you have time go to Rashelle's website and read some of her

newsletters; they offer great information; wonderful testimonies of a

lot of people on this list.

If you need any help please ask us or feel free to email me

privately. We're all passionate about Lifelift on this list.

My email is: winwithlifelift@...

Due to my schedule I may not get back to you right away; but I will

surely get back to you.

Again, welcome and hope you post a lot more. Great meeting you Janet.

Take care,

Wanda

Dear Wanda,

Thank you so much for your helpful response. I especially liked

your suggestions on how to fit in more LL breathing. It is

encouraging to know that I can lose inches and change my metabolism

just by doing the breathing. It is not difficult to motivate myself

to do the breaths, because I find that I feel so much better

(emotionally) after I do them, and since I have a tendency towards

depression, and as I said, am going through menopause, and so can get

into a depressed mood even more easily because of hormonal changes

going on, it is very gratifying to be in a better mood after I do the

LL breathing.

I use the breathing as part of my spiritual practice, or

meditation...I meditate during three separate times, or segments, and

before each time of meditation, I do 40 LL breaths. I find that the

way I feel after doing the breathing greatly enhances my meditation

times - as I feel more open to the spiritual realm after I do the

breathing...I wonder if anyone else has found that the breathing has

been helpful to their prayer or meditation practice...thus helping the

spirit as well as the body...

I wish that there was something I could change about my diet in order

to lose weight...that is what is so frustrating...I have always had to

eat a very healthy diet because I tend to be very hypoglycemic (low

blood sugar) and so cannot eat junk...but my body, at this age, seems

to want to keep on the pounds, and even add more...and my being so

sedentary doesn't help, I'm sure...I have no choice but to eat

breakfast, which is a blessing, because my blood sugar will

" bottom-out " if I don't...so in my case, it is more likely the lack of

exercise rather than overeating which has caused my being overweight...

I have another question, if you or others don't mind - this year, I

have noticed for the first time that I am developing a bit of loose

skin under my chin, and I want to " nip it in the bud " , so to

speak...also, although I have been fortunate in avoiding wrinkles

because of good genes, I see that I am starting to develop " jowls " ...I

know that there is a facelift regimen that is mentioned on the

website, but I am a bit confused as to where to start in order to work

on that loose skin and " jowly " look...so if someone could suggest a

tape or regimen to work with regarding this problem, I would

appreciate it...

Thank you for any help or suggestions you can offer - you all seem

like such nice people...

Blessings,

Janet
