Guest guest
Yay Carolyn! Glad you're back and you survived! Yay Nicki! 14 Bricks, that's great. I could never get S & P to stack more than 6 or 7 before they knock them to the ground laughing the whole time! It was hard cuz one of their EI goals was to stack 5 blocks. We could never get 5 to stay before being demolished! I'm glad Emma is her sweet self again. I had heard recently from some other mom's that Piracetam can sometimes cause " agressive " behavior, and they got their sweet kids back too once off of it. Just goes to show, there's no " cookie-cutter " approach to kids is there? Look forward to hearing from you soon! Guest guest
Hi Everyone -- I'm back from my ablation and the dr. says it went well. Woohoo! He was able to ablate the main path that has been causing the really, really frequent v-tach episodes. With great difficulty, he was able to produce v-tach in one other place, but is was a different rhythm, and not one that has shown up on my ICD monitor at all -- he felt that at least for now, it was not of great concern. They were also able to do my ICD "test" while I was there (I don't remember that part), so that will save me having to go back for yet another procedure. Thank goodness! In any case, I am home and we are trying it without meds! What a great feeling! (My drs. theory is that the right bundle branch block etc. from my TOF made it hard for me to tolerate the beta blockers). He wanted me to spend the night last night, but my wonderful husband convinced him I'd get more sleep at home. I think the Dr. was mainly concerned about me running around after my 5 year old, but she's at Grandma's, so no problem. Plus, if I had any recurrent arrhythmia, my ICD is still right there ready to zap it back ... so he agreed, and I was home by 8p. Hooray! I must say that I really am grateful for my ICD when I really think about how many times I went into v-tach over the last few weeks ... As much as you can get frustrated at times for the way it complicates our lives, the side benefit is an awfully big one -- LIFE! A big THANKS to all of you who sent such kind thoughts, prayers and well-wishes my way. It was so great to have such a supportive group of people behind me. I hope everyone is doing well -- glad to be back with all you zappers! Take care and write soon -- looking forward to hearing how all of YOU are doing! ita in Ohio Re: mail test We're all waiting to hear how ita is doing after her ablation today. Please visit the Zapper homepage athttp://www.ZapLife.org
Guest guest
I am so happy for you, you have given us strength when we are ready for ablation. I had one but it did not fully take and I will be expecting another one. Perhaps prayers really do work, I certainly prayed for you. I hope you have a wonderful life now that it is over with, God Bless You. Phyllis
Guest guest
hi jaunita,,,, so glad you did well and got good news.... i got some today also.....the cardio and the e.p. have taken all restrictions off me except using a chain saw....guess i have to buy my firewood next year....... he said the icd's look for vibrations, and since the chain saw vibrates very fast, he is concerned that it would set off the icd....sure dont need that with a chain saw in my hand,,,,guess that would be the ultimate in self abuse......... all i need to do now is figure out how to lose 150 pounds....... again,,,,good for you,,,,hope you continue with the good luck..... bob in pa --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by IAS, an Archiventure Company]

Guest guest
Thanks, Tom. Yes, we are very pleased and hope that we can get back to "normal" life with an ICD (whatever that is). Guest guest
Thanks, Phyllis -- I really appreciate your prayers -- If you have an option of doing it again (an ablation) and they think it will help, go for it! The procedure itself is really not so bad -- especially if you keep yourself focused on the end result. Does your ICD go off alot, or are you able to be fairly under control with meds? Wishes of health for you! ita Re: I'm back!! I am so happy for you, you have given us strength when we are ready for ablation. I had one but it did not fully take and I will be expecting another one. Guest guest
Thanks, Bob -- And congrats. on your good news as well! No restrictions other than chain saws ... that is great! My husband wants to buy HIS firewood, and he doesn't even have an ICD! I'm glad to hear you're doing well. We just started counting calories today ... I tried the Weight Watcher route and did lose a little with it, but the obsession with the "points" made me a little crazy. It does work, though, if you stick to it. They say exercise is a big factor ... and drinking lots of water... anyway, good luck on whatever method of weightloss you decide to try. My cardio rhythm problems are random and not actually affected by weight, but I would like to lose a bit as well -- no sense adding extra heart concerns down the road. Maybe we can encourage each other. Anyway, congrats again on your great news -- Good for you! ita Re: I'm back!! hi jaunita,,,,so glad you did well and got good news....i got some today also.....the cardio and the e.p. have taken all restrictions off me except using a chain saw....guess i have to buy my firewood next year.......he said the icd's look for vibrations, and since the chain saw vibrates very fast, he is concerned that it would set off the icd....sure dont need that with a chain saw in my hand,,,,guess that would be the ultimate in self abuse.........all i need to do now is figure out how to lose 150 pounds....... again,,,,good for you,,,,hope you continue with the good luck..... bob in pa---[This E-mail scanned for viruses by IAS, an Archiventure Company]Please visit the Zapper homepage athttp://www.ZapLife.org
Guest guest
Hey, ita.... Glad you made it back home, and they fixed stuff! Do they put you to sleep for all this? Guest guest
Hi Sue - Thanks - glad to be back. For most of it I had the drugs that put you kind of in that twilight zone -- still aware, but not completely -- I don't remember the ICD testing at all -- I think they gave me heavier drugs then -- I was aware when they were inducing the v-tach -- they did that quite a number of times -- part of the time I was even conversing with the dr. and the nurses, but it was not really painful or anything -- maybe a bit uncomfortable at times, but really not too bad. In my opinion, it was less difficult than even the ICD implant. Hope you guys are doing well! ita Re: I'm back!! Hey, ita.... Glad you made it back home, and they fixed stuff! Guest guest
Welcome back, Donna! You were a bad influence on me and while you were away I picked up 5 Janis Saffell dvd's and a Self dvd at Ross last week. I have definitely gained weight since NYC and my trip to Fossil. I too need to get back on track, more so than you, I'm sure. I've gained 10 pounds! Yikes! I work out enough, but I eat and drink too much. This has got to stop (see next email). Anyway Donna, I've missed your posts and can't wait to see what you think of Turbo Jam! Hugs

Guest guest
Hi, Girls! I've been absent for awhile - life got very busy. I've been training the last few years for black belt in karate with my kids. We tested for 1st degree July 2009, and for 2nd degree this last summer. Our 23 year old daughter, Caeti got married just a bit over a month ago, and our 17 year old son, Rex is getting ready to go to prom. Lots has happened since I was last in touch. I went back into private practice and work 8:00 am to 12:30 pm every weekday. We've been in an apartment for awhile during some home renovations, but will be moving back home the end of this month. In the last 2 years, I've had 3 surgeries, and entered menopause. That caused me to regain 30 lbs I had lost. I'm back to the basics, and the best exercise program for me - Lifelift. I'm hoping to return to our karate classes and workouts starting in April. I'm very happy to be back. I've missed visiting with you all and look forward to the encouragement of being back on board.
