Guest guest
I just recently got a little gem of a book for my kindle. 8 steps to motivations... Just reading me got me thinking again, always about improving myself. One chapter that is really wonderful...is SMART HABITS...help motivation. These are the 6 that they list expanding upon each... 1. early rising (good night's rest) 2. Smart Eating 3. Mindfulness: being in the present and AWARE 4. Body Care: Caring for our TEMPLE 5. Writing: For me this one is self explanatory...how often do I come here to get your advice and GIVE my own...IN WRITING. 6. Reading: being really well read...varieties of subjects. So having a habit, developing a habit, helps motivation. If my motivation is to do more lifelift...and I just happen to make it a habit of getting more LL by doing so many in the bathroom, so many while I fold clothes, etc. Motivates me to do MORE...and I feel accomplished. One of the MEASURES OF success is just baby steps are everywhere and every step taken is a step forward to completion of a goal. Interesting concept...! Love you guys, lifting you all in prayer. Remember me. I had a tough " grocery store " visit...returned home so exhausted. And again so disappointed I was so fatigued. I never expect it and get KNOCKED down over and over again. I need to plan better and stop being so " beat up " about disability. It really just IS what it IS. Oh, Pat, thanks so much for the kind words about my DAD. He truly is such a very special " daddy " and is one of those people that walks into the room and makes everyone welcome. It is getting harder for him as his " gregarious " self...his outgoing self, is slowing down...86...will be 87 in September. We have so many talented people in our family....it will be interesting to see what HAPPENS next. I'm trying to understand my " PURPOSE " . I understand that anything I give in any capacity is wonderful. However, sometimes I so miss my PERFORMING self, and my STORYTELLING SELF, and my PUBLIC SPEAKING self. It fed my ego ya know. Now there are limitations. ALWAYS LL'ers, MARY
