Gosh, reviewing the posts...I was thinking all of us are in a process of

" loss " ...parents getting older. My mom is in nursing home on hospice care.  She

is very low about being there but needs the care she can only get there.  We all

do our best to visit often...and there are about 35+ of us available to visit.

Anyway...with mom at 81 and dad at 86...there is no preparation for loss of a

parent.  I " say " I am going to be ok.  And then, I ache more, or don't sleep

well...

Listening to

I bless anyone who has recently lost a parent.  I pray you have wonderful

memories to comfort you and family and friends to surround you so you know you

are loved.

These are very true and very moving words.

On our birthdays we do tend to miss our beloved ones so much. I am so grateful

this year my sweet Mom is still here after coming so close to leaving on her

birthday and Mother's day. I was on my knees for weeks saying thank you when

she recovered.

My heart aches for those of you my sweet friends who have lost your Mom's. I

feel that way about my Dad. He always made every day of my life so special, but

especially my birthday.

Daddy helped deliver me at home so we always had a very special bond. He will

live in my heart forever. I feel so much of who I am is because of all the love

and nurturing he gave me through my life.

My birthday wish is for all of you who have lost your loved ones to find peace

in your hearts and joy in remembering why you miss them.  When I think of my

Daddy I always smile and then usually start to giggle. He was so funny and he

was such a tease. Now I have my little grandson who is so much like him and

each day I look into those big blue eyes and I am so grateful for all the love

that has surrounded me in my life and the love that is still here. Love does

not die...never can, never will. Just hold the thoughts to your heart that you

were so blessed to have been so loved.

I love each and every one of you. I am going to blow out all those candles

tomorrow and make a wish for each and every one of you because you have brought

so much love, joy and happiness into my life over the years.
