New studies have shown that it is ok and may even be beneficial to do Life Lift

shortly after eating a small meal.

The suggestion in the DVD to do it on an empty stomach is no longer considered

necessary.

According to the University of South Florida College of Education, oxygen plays

a critical role in your circulatory and respiratory systems. When you breathe,

you inhale life-sustaining oxygen and remove harmful waste products from your

bloodstream. Irregular breathing--due to stress, poor posture or chronic

disease--can impede your body's ability to use oxygen and eliminate waste

products. By performing deep breathing exercises, you can invoke your

parasympathetic nervous system, counter the effects of stress and achieve

mind-body harmony. Weil, M.D., author and integrative medicine specialist,

performing regular deep breathing exercises can be calming, energizing and can

even help combat your stress-related health problems, such as panic attacks and

digestive disorders. Deep breathing significantly influences your moods,

physiological functions and mental outlook; it can help you relax after a long,

stressful day. If you find yourself dwelling on

negative thoughts or worrying about stressful aspects of your life, try

shifting your awareness to your breath by performing deep breathing exercises.

Deep breathing exercises are a helpful and effective tool for re-framing your

situation and managing your stress. Consider performing deep breathing exercises

on a daily basis to help improve your quality of life.

-----------------------------

The way you breathe affects your whole body.   Doing LifeLift breathing is a

good way to relax, reduce tension, and relieve stress. Always remember when you

exhale to empty completely before taking another breath in.  As you breathe

think of the word nurture and relax. Imagine in your mind that you are releasing

and removing all obstacles in your path that are holding you back from what you

want.

Breathe out as if you are trying to create a strong wind. Exhale deeply, use

that breath to blow away the negative things that are causing you stress.

My food pick for this month is one of my favorite foods and always has been.

Salmon is the one. The benefits of eating salmon often: low calorie, low carb,

low sodium, low saturated fat, and heart healthy depending on how it is

prepared. When you buy salmon look for wild salmon rather than farm-raised.

Salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids can play an important

role in reducing inflammation and risk for heart disease. Recent research

suggests that omega-3 fatty acids may also improve insulin sensitivity and

decrease belly fat. Stabilizing blood sugar is important in order to reduce food

cravings.

Some wonderful messages to inspire you:

Dear Rashelle

I have been going through so much stress lately that I had lost myself. I felt

unable to function in a normal way and I felt lost and alone most of the time.

Several people in my family use LifeLift. They decided they needed to try

something to help me feel better so they gave me a gift of your DVD set. When I

say gift I mean GIFT. I feel like the sunshine is back. I feel like I have my

life back. My stress seems to melt away when I listen to your soothing voice as

you guide me through the Life Lift breaths. Besides that I am feeling healthier

and stronger than I have in years. Besides all this I have lost quite a few

inches and pounds and people say I look so good.

Thank you for giving me my life back. This oxygen thing is magic and so are you.

Your gentle kindness comes through your teaching. I always feel guided instead

of being told what to do.
