Guest guest
This is very interesting, but I do not believe it is because of what the product is supposed to do, but rather what it enables. These types of products appear to interfere with the animals natural immune system. Instead of their own bodies being able to fight off pests, this product fights the battles for them. In much the same way that too many antibiotics can replace our own immune systems response to infection, these seem to have the same characteristics. I think then, while it might serve well to killing off fleas, it opens the doors for mites and springtails. I have ceased using these types of medications. Instead opting for organic solutions for the coat. The reason why birds aren't all dead because of mites is because the mite seems to trigger a response in the birds to produce oil, which in turn staves off the mite. Probably why oil on our bodies is so successful. Of course, their ability to just fly away also serves them well. The ability to just flap our wings and move to another branch is something I am sure we have all envied greatly. Thanks for sharing this. I may pass it along to my very open minded vet who just called me today to check in on my little dog. He is such a smart man and although elderly he still has an active mind. He has continued to do research on Lyme transmission and Bart. He believes Lyme is still primarily transmitted by way of a tick. He was happy to tell me that an engorged tick can lay over 100,000 eggs. Whoopee! He was happy to hear that Java (my dog) was doing well and does not want to move her to Doxy since the Amoxycillin seems to be working. Another two weeks and then we well see. Yep, he is crazy smart...but by the end of the talk, he was wishing me and my little cat well...LOL somewhere along the line he forgot she was a dog.
