It does seem to get rid of stuff on the surface of the skin. Arm & Hammer in a bath is very slippery so be careful getting in and out of the tub, so scrubbing the skin helps a lot. Guest guest Posted July 1, 2012 Report Share Posted July 1, 2012 Dearest Movies...I have not been on this site for a while, and did not know where to start, but your story caught my eye as it was so very similar to what I have experienced. I am sure that many wonderful and knowledgeable people here have already responded to you, but if no one has mentioned it, you must find the source of the bird mites. It would be a good idea to capture one, if you can, and send it to a local lab. It usually does not cost all that much for them to examine it. If that is not possible, then find a local university and have them look at it. Go to an Entomology department. If you do not get to the source, getting rid of them will be very difficult. If your room mates are not being bitten, chances are they will not be very helpful in your desire to keep things clean. You might have to just retreat to your own personal space and make sure that is kept clean. Perhaps one of them will feel sorry for one of their animals enough to help. I do wish you the best of luck. I do feel for you and what you are going through. Prayers DO help. Hang in there, Terry > > > > > One month ago i was laying in bed i was sleeping and i woke up to what felt like something crawling on my hand it was a bunch of black small bugs.I hurry up and got them off of me they were fast and i really didn't think anything of it.But later on that day i notice what look like 2 holes and a rash starting on my left hand.A couple day went by and i started to get rashes all over my body so i went to the er.They said i had scabies so they gave me the cream.I did the treat me that night it did nothing.So the next day i called up the dr he gave me another cream it didn't do anything and i started itching all over and breaking out in these red bumps on my skin.So i did some reach search on the net and i think i got birdmites.I've taken samples to my dr but he said he didn't have a microscope to look at them i have to wait until august to see a Dem i can't wait that long so i've been taking baths with Epsom salt and dawn dish soap i heard that is suppose to help kill these things but i have roommates and they don't like to clean and they got animals in they are itching like crazy.I'm worried here that i wont get better until i move out.I think i am getting refested cause of not being able to clean and no one else is getting bite i put vasoline in my hair at night to stop the crawling at night and on my face with vick vaper rub around my nose in mouth it seem to stop them from trying to go in your mouth and i use ear plugs all the time.i use nose spray for my nose and white vingar with rubbing ahcol in my ears to flush them out.I live on a fix income and ive spent all my money on trying to get ride of these damn things and i drink apple cider vingar 3x a day just in case they are in my body...i want to get some DE but i ran out of money..Im scared but i am a believer in god and i believe i will be healed of this evil bug..God bless everyone!! > Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
