Guest guest
, For someone 5'9 " I would think you don't have far to go at your size! Are you really hoping to get much smaller, or just change your shape with muscle tone? Glad to hear you're getting help with the eating problems. I wonder why we have so much trouble looking at food as fuel, and instead it becomes an emotional outlet for us. Oh, I'm 41. Loving it too! I sure hope BFL works for you this time! Guest guest
robin - thanks for writing back! right now i am a size 12-14. i have never been anything thinner than a 8-10, and that was when i was taking prescription diet pills and running 6 days a week. needless to say i couldn't keep THAT up! i am currently working out at the war memorial fitness center - i go in the mornings at about 5:30. i have been working out consistently there since november - but have not seen any results at ALL! i blame my diet and the fact that i havenot been good about the weight training - i fell back into the whole " cardio " mentality. i am excited to be back on BFL. the first time i did it i was not successful because i was eating too much as well. i have struggled with compulsive overeating my whole life - and am actually about to start therapy - partly for that. i have this weird tendency to sabatoge myself whenever i see results - AND i am really good at talking myself into or out of things. especially where drinking is concerned - and i know that was one of my problems last time. that and the fact that my free days looked like a 7-11 crash landed in my living room. ugh! i feel really clear about this time around - plus i have a wedding that i am the maid of honor in in june - exactly at the end of 12 weeks! man, woul di love to show up all buff and tan and sexy as hell - so that's a really good motivator. anyway - i'm glad to meet you. and glad that you are back on the program! if you don't mind me asking - how old are you? thanks for the compliments, too! - anna

Guest guest
Thanks . I will start calling the same labs I tried before and see if this information gets me any farther than before. Testing Lotions Leaves Hello, I have a question about having lotions tested. Quite some time ago I contacted local private labs in my area and asked them if they could run tests on my lotions for bacteria and so forth. All of them had no clue as to what I was talking about. They said I would have to have specific bacteria's and molds for them to look for. How do you go about getting lotions tested and what do you tell the labs to look for? Thanks in advance, sh@... We also need the support, advice and expertise from others on a list like this. Stick around , only another month and the elections will be over. MISSYSAHM to some special kids!!! Guest guest
Hi , I don't know how you work while on TX,especially if your boss is a dickhead. Fatigue is the most common symptom,so your kinda normal. Are you checking your Labs?,remember to watch your Hgb. You should put your Pic back up,maybe we can rotate some old ones out to make more room. See my latest pic,it should help you get through TX. Thanks , it is so good to 'hear' a friendly voice. One of our drivers just called me too and I tried to explain what all is going on. I am sure the tx is not helping me, but I am about fit for the loony bin right now. I had labs done right before I started and again last Friday, results not back yet. I am working during tx because I have no choice. I can handle the job just fine so far. It is the harassment I am losing it on. Will look at pics later... almost time to go back to work again. Thanks again,

Guest guest
I don't really have a preference between Abilify and Risperdal. My oldest daughter is on Abilify because she is a little heavy but since she never took Risperdal we can't blame it. Both seem to work fine for my kids. My youngest one was also on Zyprexa for a couple of years and it also worked well. The only reason she doesn't take it now is because she stopped taking it for awhile (we thought she didn't need it) and we had to change doctors. The new doctor prescribed the Risperdal just as a matter of preference. My oldest one did take Geodon before Abilify and it did not work for her. It's so tricky, isn't it? Guest guest
My son, 16 years old & was diagnosed with OCD when he was 8, is currently on risperidol & anafranil. I am hoping we can increase the anafranil because he is still displaying anxiety & worries about touching things but am waiting on his pediatrician to give the okay based on his EKG. He hasn't had a weight gain on any of the medications. I don't have any experience with abilify. " A. " <lausley@...> wrote: : Which med do you prefer, as you said you had a child on each? Guest guest
Inger, You weren't adding to my troubles, rather out discussion was a distraction from it. That's another reason I guess why I got a bit carried away. Anyway, the trouble with my father is different than you might think. He was very psychologically abusive to both my mother and myself. This lasted up until I was about 14 when they divorced. Following that he pulled some really dirty tricks trying to get custody of me and to avoid paying child support. So, since I turned 18 I have tried to have as little to do with him as possible. Even though I have forgiven him for what he did (which I haven't told him about because he doesn't think he has ever done anything wrong and telling him about all that would only make him dangerously violent) I still don't like the man. What I am seeing now is the result of his lifetime of abusing alcohol and perscription drugs. Still, I'll do what is needed and nothing more. What irritates me is that he still has the gift. Even when he was married to my mother, when he was in public, butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. He was so charming, polite and agreeable that everyone loved him. But behind closed doors he was just the opposite. I could be two rooms away through closed doors playing quietly but if I dropped a toy once he would show up yelling at me to be quiet. He broke more than one toy in front of my eyes. One time he got fed up with my dog's toenails clicking on the one little bare patch of floor so he picked him up and threw him across the room, again while I was watching. The dog lived and wasn't really hurt, at least I don't think so, but he never went near my father again. You could never tell when he was going to lose it. Sometimes he would be almost human for a few days or weeks, and then bang, like all that pent up nastiness would pour out. Rambled a bit. The reason this irritates me is that his current neighbors think he is so sweet and kind. They said he would do little things for them when he could and doesn't want them to make a fuss over him. That's all stuff he always did with neighbors, and at home would be a monster. I don't see why they can't feel his aura. It was, how to describe it, like a static field that set you on edge, like lightning was about to strike. It was like that even when he wa in a good mood. A few times I actually felt him walk past me when I hadn't heard him approach. The point being, he's got them conned too. I wonder how long it will be, now that they are dealing with him on a daily basis, before he explodes on them. I'm not going to say a word, however. They wouldn't believe me. No on believed us back when they were married and to this day there are people who don't believe my stories.

My dad was in the hospital a few weeks ago as I'm sure I posted about. Well, he's back to his old habits, except maybe for the drinking, and is still not in good health. I understand now the frustration so many on this board have in dealing with Social Services. All I wanted was recommendations for at home nursing services and it took me the better part of three days on the phone to be told they wouldn't give me any. Finally I just called some companies directly and checked them out with the Better Business Burea, which took me all of one hour. Aside from that, the allergy medicine the doctor gave left me all but unable to sleep for a week. Getting maybe two hours of fitful sleep be night was making me very ill-tempered. I quit taking it two days ago and managed to get a few hours of poor quality sleep this afternoon. , I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I hope you and your dad will be OK. Guest guest
Inger, He has some traits as did his brother and mother. His brother and mother were generally nice and pleasant people, until the Alzheimers started its work on grandmother that is. If they needed quiet they would go off by themselves and if you were still being noisy they would ask you to quiet down a bit rather than yelling and screaming. My dad had other issues as well, like Bipolar Disorder and was just plain a nasty person. He was institutionalized the first time when he was in his early 20's, but never told my mother until years after they were married, and then I think she heard it from his parents. He has been back in twice that I know of, both of those times getting several treatments of Electroshock therapy. Then there was the going to three or more doctors to get perscriptions, not telling any of them about the others, and then triple dosing on all the meds he had, often taking them with alcohol. Its a wonder he lived. Maybe I'll post more about things he did. As for the dogs walking around, it would get annoying sometimes, but the easy solution to that was to have them get up by you and pet them for a while. They liked that and they usually fell asleep too, which also kept the quiet. When we moved into this house and had the full carpeting taken up. We put rug, not wall to wall, in this room and some runner carpets in the halls. That still showed a lot of the hardwood floors but the dogs would usually walk on the carpet so little toenail noise. The ony place you really heard them was on the linoleum floor in the kitchen, but that was good because it let us know when they were going outside and when they had come back in. Guest guest
Oh, my sympathies! My dad was an alcoholic too and used to abuse my mom. (Luckily, she left him and he had the sense to stay away.) That about the dog must have been absolutely awful! :-o But I must admit I find such sounds irritating as well and there has been more than one occasion when I was sorely tempted to give my assistant's goats a good kick in the rear when they were making noise sharpening their horns on my house just as I was trying to concentrate on something. If I had children or pets of my own, I'm sure I'd strangle them sooner or later. (That's why I don't have any.) But doing something like this for real - and in front of a child as well - you REALLY don't do that! :-( Is your dad an Aspie too, you think? Could you have inherited your sound sensitivity from him? Guest guest
I feel sory to hear the saotry about the dog too, but I have to confess I have been too tense and stressed towards my own kids when they were smaller...I have broken a toy in front of them , have yelled at them, etc. Cherry Plum did help me, but it took me many years to be more balanced. Even nowadays I fear to get very irritated if under certain type of stress, alhtough some things that do stress everybody else does not stress me. My mom also used to be terible to me when nervous...and I know then she would regreat...and all of her friends also thought she was too kind and great and nice and the blame was on me. I don't claim there is any 100% normal or 100% Aspie. IMHO, a 100% Aspie would be a pure-breed Neanderthal, which we know doesn't exist today. I doubt there exist any pure-breed NTs as well, as these are also descended from populations that no longer exist. IOW, your assertions that we need perfect models are illogical.
