Guest guest
I've never really had more than a hand full of red marks on my body since I contracted the mites 3 months ago. The problem I have is the constant crawling feeling. It bothers me day and night. I've gone through 90% of the home remedies (Borax, epsom salts, tea tree oil, lysol, windex, etc), but it never goes away. Moved out of my apartment, even before the PCO confirmed my bird mite hypothesis, and am now living with family. No one else in the household has any symptoms at all, but I'm just sitting in the corner constantly slapping at my skin, and scratching away the crawling sensation. I sleep during the day, and sit awake at night. I'm relieved that they (my mother, grandma, grandpa, aunt) are mite-free, but the cynic in me hopes one of em picks it up, every time they take my situation lightly haha kidding, not really I quarantined myself from my girlfriend, after spending a week cleaning her entire apartment and everything she owns. After showing slight symptoms (a few bites, crawling sensation, slight itchiness), she is now apparently free of em.' She lives with her sister in close quarters (they share a one-bedroom), and both are symptom-free...in fact, her sister never showed any signs of bird mites. I think the only reason my SO even contracted the mites was because of the constant close contact with me, when I thought I had bed bugs. She stayed with me @ my old apartment constantly during the time the pigeon's nest outside was infesting us. They obviously didin't take to her. This was the greatest relief. I would never have been able to cope with the guilt of putting her through this for the unforeseeable future, like myself. I have spent the night at her apartment once a week or so, with no symptoms. But last night @ her place, I awoke with crawling on my legs and upper torso. I immediately jumped out of her bed, dragged her to the shower, and scrubbed us both. I then made her sleep with new sheets as I put her bedding outside, and slept on the couch. I am so utterly confused by the lack of a pattern. Three nights ago, I slept soundly, in the same cot I had full-on crawling sensation the nights before. The next night, I attempted to go through the exact same cleaning routine, only to succumb to the usual symptoms again. I bathed in a eucalyptus bath solution the night I was symptom-free, but after bathing in it twice the next day, as well as showering, the crawling was back. Did they develop a tolerance in 24 hours??? I initially had 3-4 bites the entire time I lived near the source. Now, I get absolutely no bites. I can still feel constant crawling from what I think are the mites, but no bites. Now I'm reading all this information about 'fungus...' so confused! I don't have any symptoms of Lyme Disease, but should I consider anti-fungals? I also read about eradicating them with some sort of audio device? I am at a loss. I always read about people having itches and bites. The only itching I have is from obvious dry skin...much like any bird mite sufferer, I can immediately tell the difference between a mite itch and dry skin itch. THE ONLY GOSH DARN SYMPTOM I HAVE IS THE CRAWLING!
Guest guest
Get an Igenix Lyme western blot test. The crawling is typical of Lyme/bartonella. You don't need to have overt symptoms of Lyme. I didn't either.AandrayaOn Jul 20, 2012, at 5:43 PM, terrifiedforgf wrote: I've never really had more than a hand full of red marks on my body since I contracted the mites 3 months ago. Guest guest
Hi terrifiedforgf There are many weapons used in a war , all help to achive victory. All work towards an end of the enemy As for fungus & mold Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent ,( Powderd type only ) contains Sodium carbonate which is the same ingedient that is used in ''Mold Control' made by concrobium & sold at Home Depot for $20 .00 per gallon . They rent a tri-jet fogger to apply it for 40.00 per day ( I bought my tri-jet fogger from www.cedarcide.com for $200.00 , best money I ever spent. I fogged every room every 3 days , for 30 mins & let air out for 6 hrs After 30 days piercier bugs were gone. I used 1 cup borax, 2 cups epsom salts & 1 gallon of hot water ,stir for 15 seconds .( sometimes I add 1 cup windex to mix , it is nasty but poisons evenfurther. Plug in tri-jet to dollar store lamp timer ,set for 20 mins time ,close windows open drawers & closets & boxes & bags etc. Point tri-jet at open space in room over a 9'X12' plastic sheet , spread out to catch excess water. Turn on trijet & leave for a few hrs & come back to bugless ness ...ahhhhhhh ! what a relief & no cleaning & effortless , move to next room & repeat , I plug the bottom of doors w/ a towel , it still leakes out some fog at crack. After 10 mins running it in a 16'X14' room, the fog was so dense I could only see 3 ft .... Bye bye bug .. It works very well ! ,. But they return from cracks & crevises so painting & cauling helps tremendously , but I didn't do that until years later though . Any sprayer will work , Chapin garden sprayers at Ace hard ware are the best w/ a fine tip called a moquito tip, special order from Ace for $2.50 . Or just buy the 48 oz sprayer by chapin at Ace Hardware , it is the handiest & finest mist tip ever . $12.00 . Excelent for spraying cars w/ 48oz of hot water 2 tbls coconut oil & 1/3 cup borax & stir for 15 seconds in a cut off milk jug as a container with a spoon to mix borax into water or sprayer can plug up. Spray mix all over car & headliner & carpet , By the way 1 took a borax bath 1 cup for 30 mins many times , but 1 time after praying very hard , I decided to follow linasama's advice about cococnut .oil on the skin so I rinsed off the borax water ,drained tub ,refilled & added 2 tbls cococnut oil inthe tub & soaked for 15 mins it was so nice to not use poison or chemical , it was excellent all crawing went away that nite ! after 4 years of crawling , it has been almost 3 years now & no crawling , Thank God .. , I still get bit somtiems at the park ,docks , in trees, & a round farm animals etc , but none bother me like they used to , the coconut Nativa brand extra virgin oil & water soaked into the skin & put up a shield that resists bites. I also use it in a sprayer at 2 tbls per 48 oz of hot water, at least 77F , to melt the coconut oil , this mist stops all bugs instantly , it glues them in place & they are rendered helpless . & you can drink it , 1 tesp per day is recommended, it has many healing properties , look it up you will be amazied , I counted 200 remedies last time I looked Ok , Here is a list of Fumigation techniques , each works, but is best in conjunction with others to totaly destroy the enemy & it eggs. http://www.fao.org/docrep/X5042E/x5042E01.htm Other ways that have been found effective in preventing and controlling infestations are as follows: 1. Sanitation. ( My recommendation borax, spic & span ,dawn dish soap , a & h launrdy soap, lysol ( lysol is nasty though but many say it sorks great use Lysol multisurface cleaner from grocery ) 2. Exclusion of pests. (My recommendation: caulk ,double sided stickey tape at doors & window peremiters, a & h soap sprinkled around dry out side or waft 4 cup at house using a leave blower from 20 ft back from house , it is amazing & ended my 4 years of bites on my front lawn & driveway , they used to get me there even in the winter when I pulled up in my car from work.) 3. Low temperature - " freeze-outs " , refrigeration, aeration. 4. High temperature - heating of mills. (My recommendation : furnace on high , stove on high, hair dryer in bathroom on high , & last but best turboheater in window thru a cement board & a themometer ppint outside to monitor , heat to 170-200 degrees. 5. Moisture control - grain drying. (My recommendation air conditionaer running it is an dehumidifier , also run dehumidifiers ) 6. Aeration - cooling, drying, elimination of temperature gradients. Keep it aired out , fresh w/ windows open ) 7. Protectants - chemicals, inert dusts, natural compounds. ( My recommendation , puff dry baking soda all over , trys bugs to a crisp , wears Boots & they will never get your feet, put 1/2 cup Arm & Hammer Powdered Laundry Detergent in each & shake & leave for 15 mins - 1 hr & they will be bug free for weeks & weeks , don't breathe dry a & h soap though , it causes a deviated sptum & deleayed pulmunary edema per the MSDS , Material Safety Data Sheet) 8. Residual or contact insecticides. ( My recommendation , I will never use this kind of poison , I am alergic to poison ... : p ) 9. Atmospheric gases - carbon dioxide, nitrogen . ( My recommendation , I put a 20 lb tank of co2 or nitrogen in the car w/ all my tax reccord , it kills all bugs , it is bliss , ,then eggs hatch , best to have the baking soda all over for them. I rent the tank at a welding store for $5.00 per month & $12.68 to fill, I never breathe it it will kill you in strong concentrations or cause kidney & brain damage , the kidneys cannot porcess pure carbon dioxide ( co2). I hold my breath while I am any where near my car, & as I approach to open all the windows to air out first for 6 hrs after gassing , it leaves nos smell & papers stay free for 2 monyhs for some reason while the car only stays bug free for 3-7 days. ) 10. Gamma radiation, radio and sonic waves, microwaves, infra-red radiation. 11. Pheromones. ( My recommendation , CVS brand ant traps lures them in & kills them . 12. Insect growth regulators. 13. Insect pathogens. 14. Predators. ( Aggi used Predators in her car & it worked , Yea ! The car is hard to clear permanetly m, Holly used an ozone generator, she battled for 4 years before that with her car. Holly said : Orange plus concentrate- Buy it in bulk at Ace hardware, and mix stronger , spray all 15. Insect resistant packaging. ( contractor bags & rubbermaid 46 gallon tubs powered w/ borax & a & h soap 16. Resistant varieties. An effective integrated pest management system should begin with comprehensive planning to include all aspects of the problem, followed by the application of preventive and control methods... God bless you , Pray hard , God is good & He will help Bill ------------------------------ On Fri, Jul 20, 2012 6:43 PM EDT terrifiedforgf wrote: >I've never really had more than a hand full of red marks on my body since I contracted the mites 3 months ago. Guest guest
It came on me suddenly, very early one morning in late February. Two exterminators told me it was Bird Mites and I believed them even though I never saw anything nor did I have any bites. I had a nightmare couple of months of crawling. Invisible things crawling all over my body, in my nose, ears, mouth, eyes. Many times I felt them popping out of my skin but there were never any marks. We went to great extremes and expense because of my symptoms. We stayed in a hotel, paid up front for a week and the 4th night there was so awful I decided I was coming home and would end it all. Then, I decided to try one more thing, first. A 3rd extermnator told me to get a black light from Walmart and in the dark, when I feel the crawling, look with the light. He said " if anything is there, you'll see it moving " . I did and there was nothing. Nothing! Nothing! Then, that night at about 4AM in the morning, I knew there was nothing and the crawling stopped immediately to never return. Finally, a pastor in my church who is a PHD mental health counsellor diagnosed it as " Delusional Parasitosis " & Formication. I read and re-read the literature over and over. This is something particular to drug and alcohol users. I have never used drugs or alcohol. Before this hit me I took vitamins, lots of different ones. And I took Chinese herbs a couple of Accupuncturists had given me. The reason for those herbs had passed and several bottles of different ones were on my counter. To use them up I began to take them with my vitamins. Some were 10@4x a day. Others were 6@3x a day and so on. It wasn't long before the crawling started. Actually, now I remember swatting at cobwebs and things that I could feel but couldn't see, even before that horrible morning so I believe this was coming on me and I didn't know it. There are many other details to my story but I'm shortening it. I've made many posts on here and shared my experience in great detail if you care to go back and see them. I met with another woman who has had the crawlies for 3 years. Because of my experience we backtracked what she might have begun doing differently before hers hit. In her case it is ZipFizz Energy Drink. Many people may be able to tolerate ZipFizz but it has been very harmful to her. Check out these side effects http://morecrave.com/zipfizz-side-effects/ Also, check out this video My own pastor told me someone recommended some Chinese Herbs for his thinning hair. He only used them a short time before he began to feel crawling on his scalp so he was smart and threw them away. Whatever is causing your crawlies I hope you'll find what is causing it and be able to be freed of it. Sharon I don't dispute what anybody on here says about their experiences. My heart goes out to them because my own suffering was so horrible. However, my life is totally back to normal. I have packed up all those horrible smelling oils & potions and thrown away all the Chinese pills. I can't get back into my vitamin regimen yet. I'm extremely cautious about what I put in my body, now. I'm just grateful those things didn't kill me or worse, incapacitate me. > > I've never really had more than a hand full of red marks on my body since I contracted the mites 3 months ago. Guest guest
Yes, . Absolutely back to life as it was before taking those herbs. There's no way of knowing what was in those things. I had several different kinds for treatment for several different things. Even though lots of bad things have come out of China, (ex:Melmaline in baby formula) I completely trusted my accupuncturists to know about what they gave me since I couldn't read the labels. Surely, by itself one thing wouldn't have had the same effect but I combined all of them together. I should have known better but it just didn't occur to me. Good grief!! I could have died or caused myself permanent organ damage. I'm so grateful for the way things turned out and that I turned to the very people who could help me. When I read the info about " Delusional Parasitosis " & Formication I really had to laugh. They were written about me. I sure had a classic case!! Soon after the onset of the crawling sensations I quit taking all my vitamins, including those herbs. You'd think that they would eventually they would have worn out of my system but the symptoms actually increased before the moment I realized there was nothing there. It started suddenly at the very end of February and stopped May 10th at about 4 in the morning. Today it's been two months & 13 days of normal life. Thanks for all your suggestions and trying to help and comfort me when I was suffering so. Sharon > > > > I've never really had more than a hand full of red marks on my body since I contracted the mites 3 months ago. I'm relieved that they (my mother, grandma, grandpa, aunt) are mite-free, but the cynic in me hopes one of em picks it up, every time they take my situation lightly haha kidding, not really > > > > I quarantined myself from my girlfriend, after spending a week cleaning her entire apartment and everything she owns. Guest guest
Yeah at the worst of mine I had crawling sensations in my ears and nose and I was also aware if them in my eyes too. At about the same time I eliminated Milk, Sun Chips, Peanut butter, cheese and prolly a few other things and my moving\crawling sensations slowed way down. Hang in there keep researching and keep a journal every day as to what your eating and what your doing and how it is affecting you...
