Guest guest
Hi Janalise..What a story...I agree with you..I could never have too many kids....I love kids totally ...they have such wonderful spirits..I read a wonderful book before called "With Wings there are no barriers'..The author really stressed making time or yourself....because if you don't you eventually run out of you.....therefore everyone make it a point to do something special just for yourself. thi oming week........not for someone else ...for YOU!.... For some eason we good hearted people sacrifice our own health all too often for others..at the cost of our health ...it's not a good thing .... I'm new to the list....I've been lurking for about a week..what a great support group f or all of us. Sheena:). P.S. Colors are wonderful!!! Guest guest
.... Janalise from Iowa, USA. I have been sick for most of the past 15 year, but worse the last 4 years, and seriously critical the last 6months. I have an immune system from hell basically. That and the fact I have muscle inflammation all over my body, Crohns disease, and am currently battling a Strep A infection in my right leg. Let me tell you what happens when I call my mother anymore... she asks how I am, and she doesn't believe what I tell her (as one of the diseases affecting my liver is fatal, and all told I have under 6 years left) so she asks for my doctor to call her to tell her what's up - which of course irritates me, but I have them call just to ease her mind. She lives far away in Denver, Colorado... so she worries, even though she tells me she never worries =o) MOMS! =o) I bet my kids say terrible stuff about me *cringe* Have you heard about the old TV show, " Eight is Enough " ?Well, I have 8 and 8 is not enough =o) I want more, but I think our family is as big as it is going to get! The first 4 of my kids are the oldest and are biological children, the second 4 are the younger ones and are adopted! My kids are: Tim-24+ ~ -21+ ~ -20 ~ -18 ~ Kimber 14 - ~ 12 -10 ~ Andy-6 (TODAY!!!-Happy Birthday to him...) All of the younger 4 have some type of special need. Andy was shaken as a 1 month old. so even though the calendar says he's six - he's a 1 month old trapped in the body of a 6 year old. He is blind, can't talk or walk, and is a total care kid. is a pretty normal young lady of 10 - she had a facial birthmark removed in 1995. Other than that she's a normal little rug rat. and Kimber share the wonderful effects of what happens when a birth mother drinks and does drugs during pregnancy, as well as abuse you sexually - both have been through hell and then some... has Oppositional Defiance Disorder, ADHD, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome... Kimber has the same thing, except add being messed up by being sexually abused a dozen times before she was 5. Tim, is a graduate of the University of Iowa, he is a musician, he plays percussion - loving the marimba and steel pan drum - both the most! He has a steady girlfriend and will be the first to get married =o) My daughter is studying to be a doctor, she graduates from Northwestern (her undergraduate work) in June. Then is working in the Youth Corps (like the peace corps only stateside)She will be based in Baltimore. Her sister Kathy is studying Opera at Northwestern and graduates next year, Kathy is a world class singer! She's breaking her mothers heart ( =o) ) by moving to New York for the summer and working at a Camp there. , will be 18 in a few days is planning on going to Boston University, so we are flying out to see the campus in 2 weeks, as it has been 5 years since we were there last. As far as hobbies and the like - my kids are my life for the most part... I spend my time trying out hospital bed for a living - =o) - Just kidding, although some times it feels that way! I enjoy traveling, reading, music, and old movies. I used to be able to garden, and I miss it. Right now I am seriously decluttering my home, and trying to get my life organized... it is killing me to be living this way... I take more medicines than the Cat in the Hat had hats... prednisone being my LEAST favorite... YUCK! Pills for my diseases, and pills for the pills of my diseases... I'm sure you all understand that! Well, I better cut this off, I need to get something done today, and I work on the 10/50 method... 10 minutes of being up and 50 minute of being down with my leg up in the air =o) If I don't do this Aisha gets grouchy =o) LoL I am just kidding.. sort of kind of... Looking forward to meeting you all... Janalise iowa - home to pigs and me... therefore I must be a pig... yes, my house is a sty and I am a pig... or something like that... I must warn you I love to use colours =o)=o)=o) !! Let me know if they mess up your computer - apparently some people can't view the colors without it causing a problem, and we all have enough problems, eh? =o) Looking forward to MORE MAIL =o) YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jana, again =o)
