Guest guest
My husband is on a lot of medications, including Lanoxin (digoxin). He's been on this for several years. His AICD was implanted September, 1998. His device had given him " therapy " (a jolt)twice in the last year or so: the first time when he had pneumonia (and was taking an antibiotic); the next time when the doctors were " fiddling " with his anti-seizure drugs, and put him on Tegretol. Last Friday (after a few days of an increased dosage, per his doctor, of Lanoxin) he had a really powerful shock!!! Does anyone else's heart react this way to medications? (I've since Friday discovered that the doctor had no business increasing his Lanoxin without an additional blood draw to verify the accuracy of the January test for Lanoxin....this lab has previously sent back lab results that belonged to another person!!!) Needless to say, we took him in over the weekend for additional blood work. Thanks for your responses. Pat Pulasky
