Guest guest
Legislation allowing DC's and other providers to collectively bargain with managed care plans was passed by the House last month. The ACA through its collective efforts were sucessful in including a ACA provision which would protect the chiropractic profession from " unlawful conspiracies. The passage of the bill was a victory for all health care providers and the ACA who worked for several months lobbied diligently ( again) as the managed care industry (Goliath) spending hundreds of thousands of dollars attempted time and time again to kill the bill. The bill now has to go to the senate. What this bill means is that chiropractic organizations could put pressure on the managed care groups to provide reasonable and respectable fee scedules.
