Guest guest
Well said Janet! I called two insurance companies today 1) Progressive, and 2) Geico and asked about medical disabilities disqaulifying you for insurance specifically an AICD. Both said no it does not. As far as they are concerned if your doctor says you are able to drive, you are able to get insurance. They don't even ask the question when you applying for insurance. So I agree with you Janet, if the question is not asked when being screened for insurance, you are under no obligation to let them know. The less they know about you the better. Guest guest
Read your auto policy closely there is a section no matter who you are covered by that will stand in any court about have an illness a not revealing it. I have seem it happen to often. I think the premium we pay should cover us unconditionally but unfortunately that is not the way it works. Plus if you cause damage to others you better have a good personal liability package cause they can sue you butt off. I had a client who blacked out from severe migraines and drove through a store room window of a car dealership. One person was killed. The family all sued for loss even the mother of the mother because she was denied the right to have grandchildren. You can look up the case if you want to read about it. But they all won. If you call that winning.
