Guest guest
hey laurielynn i'm in southern california, too. yep, what a jolt when it hits. man oh man. what a disagreeable thing to have in you, but look at the alternative. HUM!! the shock, to your knees and then kissing the ground!! not pleasant, but it helps ya miss your own funeral. and you are right the doctors do not prepare you for this. and then the panic attacks later while driving or whatever. interesting bit of life to be exposed to and wasn't ready. best to you. where in southern california do you live. i'm in ramona, east of escondido and the wild animal park. best to you, jim LaurieLynn@... wrote: Hi Stephi, My name is Laurie, I'm 38, live in So California and had my AICD implanted 7/00. I too was truly shocked in every sense of the word when I experienced my shock three months after implant. OUCH !!!! I too was thrown to the floor and felt completely dumbfounded by what had occurred. I agree with you, it is a shame that we were not better informed as to what to expect when a shock occurs. I had been told, "oh, it just feels like a little thump in the chest". As I was on my knees repeating over and over and over again, "I got shocked!" I was thinking, "a little thump in the chest?" Sheesh. I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience and hope that you are feeling better soon. Should you wish to correspond directly, please feel free to contact me at LaurieLynn@...
