Guest guest Posted October 18, 2004 Report Share Posted October 18, 2004 The India HIV/AIDS Alliance (Alliance India) has been implementing a Home and Community Based Care and Support programme in Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh for the last four years and is now planning to carry out a participatory review of the programme. The review aims to document progress, key accomplishments, lessons and identify emerging good practice in care and support, with a special focus on meeting the needs of children affected by HIV/AIDS. Alliance India is planning to conduct this review with the support of one consultant who will review existing documentation, visit field programme sites, carryout interviews with stakeholders and prepare a comprehensive report. The consultant is expected to have the following qualifications and experience: Relevant qualification in public health, development or other related field. Relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation,qualitative and quantitative research and/or operations research in health and/or HIV/AIDS. An understanding of participatory action research and/or other participatory methodologies. Willingness and ability to travel to field programme sites. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
