Guest guest Posted October 18, 2004 Report Share Posted October 18, 2004 Senior Technical Officer, Care & Support and Treatment (Nepal) Field Programs Asia & Pacific FHI Grade 8 To function as the primary technical support to the FHI/Nepal Country Program and the government's National Program on HIV in the areas of comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, support and treatment including antiretroviral therapy (ART) and prevention and treatment of opportunistic infections (OIs) and also in its collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the National Center for STD and AIDS Control (NCASC) and other stakeholders . Requirements Medical doctor (MD), preferably with a Masters degree in public health or related field; A minimum of five years experience in providing clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including ART within prevention and care programs; Experience with treatment, care, and support in the developing world, particularly Asia; Fluency in Nepali will be an advantage; Knowledge and experience in epidemiology and/or STI clinical management in resource-poor settings would be advantageous.
