Guest guest
Ted, this is a super important topic. We need to get it together with them Verizon)and get one listing either "physicians- chiropractic" or "chiropractors" If we get under just one listing, then the other listing can say "see other category etc"...like quest does......this is a good job for a profesional trade org such as maybe the CAO!! Heh heh. Out in yamhill county I have also complained and told them that it is a ripoff to the chiropractors in Yamhill County to have to pay more to "hedge your bet" because a prospective patient might choose to look at the chiropractor category (although the "physicians- chiropractic" is where most of the adspace is purchased) And if you are in 2 categories with smaller ads you don't get as much column inch for your buck.....it is a ripoff and it is our own fault. The poor Naturopaths have the same problem. I think, they have to split their financial resources between "physicians- naturopathic" and "naturopathic physicians" what a rip off. I have an idea...I suspect most oregon DCs would prefer to be listed under "physicians- chiropractic" but, there likely are quite a few, who if they had a choice of listing under "physicians- chiropractic" or "chiropractor" they would choose the latter....after all DD and BJ etc. weren't Chiropractic Physicians they were "Chiropractors". so perhaps we should split the difference and ask for a unified listing next year...under.... "Physicians-Chiropractors (D.C.)"!!! There, Ain't I brilliant? What chiro on this list-serve wouldn't be happy with that? Perhaps , Sigfried can co-sign a letter to this effect. Perhaps we could start a nationwide trend, that would standardize the books and listings in all states and in all media (internet etc) And if the CAO an ODOC boys can pull that off we can all take the extra advertising money we save and throw it in the PAC coffers.
