Guest guest Posted October 10, 2004 Report Share Posted October 10, 2004 Coastal Andhra is AIDS Corridor New Delhi, Oct 06 - The Centre has identified the coastal belt in Andhra Pradesh as an AIDS Corridor, Union Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi said on Tuesday. AP figures second only to Tamil Nadu in the high incidence of AIDS. Lakshmi sought UK aid to fight AIDS in the country. The DFID provides financial help through Naco for targeted interventions in five focus States - AP, Orissa, West Bengal, Kerala and Gujarat. It has plans to expand the programme to Madhya Pradesh.
