Guest guest
Di, this is great!!!! Let us know how it goes. I am thinking of heading back in to the work force next fall when Grace is in first grade, and am thinking about something in the school system. Where is Nic this year and how is he doing? is in a GREAT classroom and I just haven't had time to write to the group about it, but I will. Also, how did Nic's swimming lesson go last night? I got the job! > WOOOOHOOOOO! > I am really excited about starting this new job but look forward even more > to telling Giant Supermaket what they can do with their lunch meats hehehe > > I start 9/17 as an Instructional Aide for Great Valley School district. I'll > be working with Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th graders as well as some clerical > stuff. I originally wanted to be a Special Ed aide but the schedule didn't > jive with Nic's but at least I now have my foot in the door. > Di > > > > Click reply to all for messages to go to the list. Guest guest
Nic goes to an IU Life Skills at Oaks Elem. It's all day and he loves it. We went to open house and she showed us about how she uses choices with them. They make their own choices, if it's a good choice thats great if it's a bad choice than they have consequences, like no free play or recess etc. Swim lessons went very well. An older woman named Kathy was his instructor and she was just great! At one point she had him in the end where he could stand and they were tossing a splash ball. He slipped and went under but she just let him go. He popped up and turned to grab the side, just like she wanted him to. Meanwhile I'm jumpin up ready to jump in hehehe Bob had to sit me back down. he did great, held him breath, etc. We also ran into some friends of his from school last year. The Cartwrights said they know you ( is their son). We are looking forward to next week.
