An ISP is for children under the age of 3. At 3 they

are to get an IEP from the local education agency.

ISP is under Early Intervention Services.

I cannot believe they would ask a child under the age

of 10 to take public transportation let alone a child

with a disability. I guess it could be used as long

as they have an aide (someone reliable and

trustworthy) to accompany her, but frankly, I'd flatly

refuse stating it is inappropriate.

How old is your niece? ISP is usually for preschool or early intervention.

School districts do NOT have to provide transportation to private school unless

it has been found that the services the child needs can't be provided in the

public school setting. The new school is private?
