Guest guest
Dear Colleagues, Thought you might like a good laugh - I came across a letter from 1987 today from the above named retired neurosurgeon turned notorious defense medical examiner. Dr. White has always had the most extreme opinions of any examiner I have ever encountered. In this letter to a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual White wrote "My advice against the use of acupuncture hardly needs explaining medically. I think that, perhaps, you have been corresponding with too many chiropractors and witch doctors." White exemplifies the worst egocentrism in medicine - all medicine is good, and all non-medicine is bad, regardless of evidence of efficacy. If anyone comes up against this gentleman I will be happy to send a copy of the letter for cross-examination to demonstrate grossly ludicrous bias.
