Salman donates 1.5 crore for AIDS victim

Phir Milenge was not the last concern Salman showed towards AIDS.

The Bollywood star along with the team of Phir Milenge is donating

as much as Rs 1.5 crores for treatment of AIDS patients across the

country. A major portion of the amount will be given to 'Ashray', an

organization in Bandra that works for AIDS victims. Salman and his

mother Salma have been visiting this institution for almost five

years now.

Incidentally everyone from Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty to Abhishek

Bachchan has reportedly not charged any fee for the movie Phir

Milenge.

Great!!!

The Phir Milenge team have done a wonderful job. They deserve to be

felicited. And Govt. should, on its part, make this movie tax free.

The movie has inspired people, particularly the younger generation a

lot. I would like to share one such experience. A girl, an IT

engineer, came to me. Recently she along with her sister-in-law, who

is an Asst.Income Tax Commissioner saw this movie and they both were

moved to such an extent that they would like to do something in this

field. I was so glad to hear her.

This also shows that movie has tremendous scope to influence public

for good cause and bad as well. Many more such movies should be made

with different messages.
