I didn't realize that Naramig was Amerge.

Nope - it is a triptan and I can't take any of those. It can cause another

stroke.

I can only take pain meds, nothing that affects the blood vessels or such.

Dear Jo,

Migraines are usually caused from vasculitis type conditions (the blood vessels are inflammed and swollen) thats why most migraine meds are designed to affect the blood vessels, reducing the pressure.

You said that you cannot take them cause they give you a stroke? Yet a stroke is caused by a block in the vessels/arteries. I would have thought that the meds to reduce that inflamation would save you from having a stroke? (Thats how it is for me anyhow) How does it work with you?

I just dont get it... wish there were a magic pill to stop your pain.
