Guest guest Posted September 10, 2004 Report Share Posted September 10, 2004 Positions with FHI in Mumbai Family Health International (FHI) wishes to recruit outstanding professionals to fill the following vacancies for HIV/AIDS interventions in Mumbai. 1) Senior Technical Officer (STI) and Technical Officer (STI) Direct technical assistance and capacity building for all interventions to prevent and treat sexually transmissible infections (STI). Duties shall include STI training to clinical staff, ensuring compliance with treatment strategies and on-going quality assurance. Requires MD in public health with at least 5 years experience (3 years for TO) of sexual and reproductive health delivery programs, with exposure to clinical care, operations research, surveillance and laboratory testing, and ability to travel within India. 2) Senior Program Officer and Program Officer Managing NGO grants, monitoring progress, preparing reports and supporting implementing partners through capacity building and problem solving. Requires PG in Public Health, Medicine or Social Science, with 5 years experience of NGO project design, management, skills building, monitoring and evaluation. Strong problem solving and writing skills essential. 3) Technical Officer (BCC) Develop Behavior Change Communication (BCC) strategies for the successful implementation of HIV/AIDS/STI interventions. Training in interpersonal communication to NGO partners and a range of counterpart staff including outreach workers and developing BCC materials. Requires PG in Communication/Social Sciences/ Psychology with at least 5 years experience, including 2 years in design and evaluation of BCC activities. Prior exposure to NGOs and HIV/AIDS preferred. 4) Technical Officer Direct technical assistance to implementing partners on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support, assessment and evaluation projects. Requires PG in Public Health, Medicine, or Social Science with at least 5 years experience in HIV/AIDS programs; research skills essential. 5) Technical Officer (STI Resource Centre) Establish STI resource centres, develop and manage e-newsletter with technical updates, edit technical training materials and documents. Requires strong technical medical/health background, excellent writing skills and proven experience in documentation and coordination. 6) Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Develop Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) plans incorporating agreed indicators. Coordinate data collection and maintain data base. Data analysis and feedback into interventions. Training of partner staff on M & E processes and data inputs. Requires PG in Public Health/ Social Sciences/ Medicine with at least 5 years experience in public health, including 3 years in project M & E. Prior exposure to NGOs and HIV/AIDS preferred. 7) Administrative Officer Office and travel management, procurement, leasing, office and equipment maintenance, supervision of administrative staff. Requires Bachelor degree with at least 8 years of experience in administrative and office procedures. Strong problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Prior experience of working with NGOs desirable. All positions are based in Mumbai and require strong team work and excellent oral and written communication skills.
