CAll the WSCC clinic and ask how they bill for it. I called them a year ago

but have forgotten the particulars. I think it was a 97139 unspecified thing

with chart notes included. Would also depend on if their policy was for NMS

adjustment only.

We use 31299 (non-specific nasal procedure) and use chronic sinusitis 473.9

as the diagnosis.

Wanted: Endonasal CPT code

Wanted: Endonasal CPT code.

I've looked in the CPT code book as well as the Marque de Sade manual.

Anyone know the code?

I had the code as 69250 which was soundly rejected by Big Blue.

Thanks,

Endonasal helps with headaches, right?

How about snoring? If so, where's the line?

Snoring;

The Endonasal " balloon " technic is effective when the balloon is

inflated thru the nose into the pharynx and past the fauces to mid

mouth. This stretches the hypertonic tissues of the pharynx from whence

the snoring originates.

If you do the procedure BE SURE to have a long hat pin or other sharp

tool to break the balloon if releasing the valve does not deflate the

balloon.

Several treatments will be necessary for good results. An occasion TX

may be needed in the future

DrBob.

Yes, I almost cured my husband's snoring permanently by using this method.

When the balloon came out of his mouth and he started to gag, I nearly

fainted. Fortunately I had a pair of rat tooth forceps nearby , must have

been a premonition, and I popped that double layered thing in short order. I

have never performed another endonasal since. I don't know if 'stretching'

this tissue really works to reduce snoring, but killing them surely does. He

currently uses Snore-stop, an over the counter homeopathic, with great

results.

All right, you guys. We're talking about endonasal reaming out of the

Eustachian tube os not the nasal specific method of scaring people by having

them imitate a fish having its innards pulled out with a hook.

I use therapeutic procedure code 971.10, accompanied by an adjustment code

and whatever additional therapies or exams are utilized.
