Guest guest
hi there had a bit of an accident today. Some idiot decided to do a U-turn from the right lane of a 4 Lane main traffic road in Münster, right in front of me. So I smashed into his car sideways. I hit the brakes, smashed anyway. He had 2 kids in the back seat not buckled up. Fiona was buckled nicely right beside me in our van. I did't swerve to miss him because there was a bus beside me, I don't argue with busses. Nobody was hurt thank god, but I had such a bad shock I couldn't drive home by myself, the van still works but I was totally useless. Had to phone hubby to come and get us. Didn't have my cell-phone along, just when I needed it. THe idiot driver spoke almost no German, his wife kept on yacking at me all the time " everything ok, nobody hurt ok? " Spent all afternoon in shock, I saw those kids faces coming nearer and thought I was going to smash them. I managed to hit the car behind their rear door but all I could see was their faces. Fiona kept on hugging me because I was trembling so bad and telling me not to be scared. We came home and that sweet little pumpkin puts on a picture-book presentation on how to handle trauma. She gets into her little blue car and drives into the kitchen doorframe and tells the whole story of police, have to get the car fixed, only a little accident etc etc. If I would have been feeling better I would have laughed. As it was I had the shakes all afternoon and stomach cramps and and and. I still see those kids faces . Ugh. Gundula
Guest guest
Gundula, I'm glad to hear that everyone is alright. Go soak in the tub and let hubby worry about fixing dinner and taking care of Fiona. I'll light a candle and say a prayer for you. Hugs, Judi
